I have noticed you keep bringing up XZ or his fans, these discussions are on the drama and the characters only and should separate fictional characters from actual actors/actresses. I have seen the actresses fans defending her character and the actor fans defending his character, there is nothing wrong with that. so please refine from dragging the actor and actresses into these drama discussion unless you have something to say about their chemistry, acting abilities or visual. I enjoy reading peoples different opinions and find the agreement or disagreements interesting however when people start dragging in fandom and the actor/actresses into the conflicts it will derail the conversation into something less enjoyable

I have seen a variety of people such as fans, CP fans, drama chaser, casual viewers, etc who have made that same comments. These comments are toward the character and how it was written, I just wish people dont start treating the characters as the actors/actresses and start turning this beautiful drama into a fanwar.

This is what I mean, I have only seen people discussing either siding with YangZi character or siding with XZ character...why is it suddenly fans attacking the actress or attacking the actor....

Why are you bring fandoms into these discussions? Why not just stick to the drama and the characters? When people start dragging in the fandoms is when fanwar starts. For one thing, regardless which side you are on, its base on the characters NOT the actors. The roles they play does not reflect them as the actor. Besides, I have seen comments defending either side or both side. Everyone is free to voice their opinions and disagreements are bond to happen. Just dont use it as a way to attack people or fans of the actors. I also find it natural for fans wanting to defend the role their fave play, arent you doing the same here taking the side of YangZi character? There is nothing wrong about it

Are we watching the same drama?? Her so call tutor just declare he can still steal someone else girlfriend! Who in the right mind will still leave his girlfriend behind ? put yourself in GW shoes, would you let your girl be with a guy who is obviously inlove with her and have the balls to tell you he still have a chance to snatch her from you? You cant blame Gw for acting the way he did...if this tutor didnt said what he said I doubt GW will make her leave. And what do you mean by dictate? GW didnt dictate her or try to control her like a puppet...he was concern for her and worried what this tutor will do so he made her go home. There is nothing wrong with that at all...guess you must have skipped all the sweet and loving moments of GW and LZX and how kind he treated her.

Every drama has annoying 2nd lead however, the 2nd leads in this drama aint horrible or outright bad. The worst 2FL did was just invade privacy and tell on ML parent when he was trying to move out . The worst the 2ML did was trying to get the girl and her family move abroad for treatments and confessing his feeling while FL is in a relationship with ML. Even with the annoying 2nd lead, I dont really dislike them either because once main lead made it clear they arent interested in them, they actually back off. I feel like this drama resolved these issues quickly as to not drag them on. The two Main lead officially became a couple in ep 16 in the DVD version and ep 18 for TV version. Overall. I love this drama! Its light hearted, sweet with comedy added. But as I have stated before, my view might differ from yours so best to watch it yourself and determine if its to your liking.

In my opinion it does get better and I love it, as for pace wise...its not too fast or too slow, its just perfect. But my view of it could be different from yours. Its best if you watch it and decided for yourself if its to your liking.

Sadly for us, Oath of love is his first serious modern drama. He had only been acting for 6 or 7 years so there arent a lot of modern drama under his belt yet

Gao xi is smart...not sure how more clear Guwei has to be for her to know he aint interested in her. She can tell that he is falling for the FL...he had avoided all her advances. Told his parent repeatedly that they are just friends and told her not to mix work with personal life. Do she really need him to tell it to her face that they are just friends? For one thing, she too never confessed directly to him either nor have he give her any false hope. If she didnt confess should he just go ahead and say "Hey, i know you like me but we are just friends?", wouldnt this just embarrass her? Everything was from her own doing and desperately wanting to cling onto him.

You found this show boring but yet keep coming back here to post again and again. Arent there other dramas out there that IS to your liking? Just drop it and move on.😒

Since this drama is not up to your taste, you might not understand the hype. People who waited so long and actually enjoying it will understand it.

She is giving me mix feeling, she is like the friend you need who support and loves you but also the kind of friend you should avoid because she creates unnecessary conflicts 😅

I havent read the novel but even if I did, I wouldnt be upset with the changes...adaptation arent meant to be like the novel, I have learn this the hard way and learn to embrace the necessary changes to make certain scenes more real.

But the ML did set the record straight with the SFL...he told her not to mix private matter with work basically telling her not to visit him at his home. Everytime she tries to get close to him he made the obvious choice to distance himself. The SFL too obviously knows he aint interested in her. He basically set a boundary between them. Now with the FL, as you stated, she is young and unaware that her male friend actually inlove with her thus she doesnt have any objections to his need to touch her nor is she cautious of him. Its because of this that is creating conflicts between ML and FL. Not to mention her friend is also making matters worst thinking she is helping them but is only creating more misunderstanding between them. Her friend made ML feel insecure, made him felt like maybe FL is better off with the man who knows her best(SML) and then sending FL that photo which made her mad but she doesnt even bother to ask for the truth to that photo. Lets not forget that ML was the one who encouraged her family to get another test done discovering the cancer and even did the surgery but base on the trailer, she is going completely disregard his opinions about going abroad for treatments almost like not trusting him enough. They both have their own short coming and misunderstandings but I am excited to see them reconcile and return to those sweet beautiful moments

Same here, if I was in that position, I'll be driven crazy. I love my parent and will do everything to help support them but just not live in the same house for all my life 😅

This is a cultural thing especially since he is the only child and a son. In a very traditional asian family, son are expected to live with the parent and take care of them even after they are old and married. I think if his parent no longer care for that kind of thinking than they probably wouldnt mind him moving out. Even in my big family, the youngest son is expected to live and take care of the parent and if he moves, the parent moves with him. I know my youngest brother had told my parent he wants to move out and live on his own and my parent was not having it. They basically told him that he is the youngest thus must take care of them.

Its unfortunate that it is the first thought that came to your mind but its understandable. I on the other hand dont see it like that at all. Even if she is a patient family member, she isnt the patient herself. In my opinion, there is nothing strange or uncomfortable about doctor falling inlove with patient family member. I see the relationship between the two leads as two people meeting and falling inlove during the most difficult time of their life and helping each other to over come their challenges. Even if there is a age gap between them, its not so big as to make it weird and uncomfortable. The way the characters are written and the personality given to them actually mix well together, a youthful and bubbly woman and a mature and soft spoken man. She is what will break him out of his comfort zone, and he is what will keep her grounded cause she is young and naive. The fact that she is a college student and he is a doctor shouldnt matter but these are only my thoughts. As for story wise, I like it and dont see anything wrong with it, its light and fluffy and for sure not your typical romcom. Its refreshing to watch drama like this once a while.
