I just discovered The First Frost, which is the part with Sang Yan's own love story. Loved this second drama too - it is rated nearly the same as Hidden Love and it deserves it. But connecting Bai Jing Ting with Victor Ma is really difficult. I am rewatching Hidden Love to make things clear, but it is really hard even if I love both actors and admire Bai Jing Ting's play. Maybe connecting both stories was not a good idea.

I love Zhou Ye and this role was right for her. I didn't know Cheng Lei but they were good together. Some slow parts in the last episodes, just like in the book. I liked the battle parts very much. A very good watch

Lol your comments made me laugh - in a good way, don't get me wrong. I made them to myself too, I even had to stop watching and do something else for a few minutes sometimes as I felt tense with some of those moments. Feeling tense probably means that overall the play was good, I really was immersed in the story.
