I don't understand why the heck ppl are putting their expectations for characters, ik angst has been toned down but in the end it's romcom and another thing You're not Pai or Tim so don't expect them to act like how you would've reacted...if you analyze the characters you'll realise how Pai's is someone who will protect ppl he loves over himself that literally explains all his choices, idk how y'all expecting Tim to turn leaf that quickly and turn into good person, he's a experienced scammer, his character is obviously gonna rough and annoying. He's doing everything to take Pai back obviously right and wrong doesn't matter to him, don't expect him to act like green flag Tim from ep1-5.... I feel many of us are so spoiled with so called perfect drama plots that we forget real life human emotions are complex and ppl react in different way and this drama is portays that perfectly
EP ratings are bullshit and misleading...EPs actually are good than these ratings indicate It's such an underrated show...I want more people to discover it. Both CPs and all the characters have good chemistry and pacing and storytelling of the show is really good.
We always praise Junior's acting and no doubt he's great actor and he totally deserves that......But this time I wanna write about Mark's acting....I feel we don't talk enough about it and kinda underrated topic. Especially Pai's emotional scene with his family made me cry .....it's like as an elder sibling I saw myself in him. His family just see him as tool and no one actually cares what he actually wants or how he feels. Mark has really stepped up his acting game n carrying Pai's character so naturally. He deserves a praise for this.
Those who are saying Tim's story did not feel convincing enough .....wait for some episodes...they haven't unveiled his full story in depth yet and there is more..... pacing will obviously slow down now as compared to EP1 and 2 as main main part of the story has started unfolding.....we will get both Pai's pov and Tim's pov in depth which will help to connect all the dots....
One more disclaimer: This is romcom so don't expect heavy angst like THK. But it's not extremely light either.
The only thing I'm not happy about angles while kissing and abrupt cut of those scenes...like while watching reaction video of ep4 we can clearly see that there was more to that scene but they abruptly cut it short and also there are two CPS so EP should be at least 1 HR or 55 mins. But by each ep the ep timing is decreasing...idk why???
I liked Pai's character here. It's not your typical cold CEO character. Love is important factor of his life. In front of the world he keeps that stern CEO aura (which not cold but authorative) but as soon as he is with Tim in his comfort place he becomes vulnerable and that kinda breaks my heart cause Tim is gonna break his heart so bad that Pai is gonna be devastated FS. I wanna appreciate Mark's acting in this series, it is very impressive. The way he looks at Tim, like his eyes are so expressive and his microexpression. Maybe I kinda as elder sibling relate to his character more in this series, like bearing family and society's pressure as eldest one and taking care of your siblings and not getting enough recognition for that ....and then the only person he trusted his only emotional pillar Tim is gonna betray him. Damn I can't...I'm not ready for that angst.
The first EP is really well paced. The post production, editing, lighting, locations and light schemes is really good. (Didn't seem like New Siwaj show at first, no hate to him he is really good director and many of my fav series are directed by him it's just editing and lighting seemed different than his other shows). Whoever has done the Costume hats off. Specifically Pai's costume....omg he looks so pretty elegant and handsome at the same time, those costumes and really brings out Mark's beauty ( bit biased here)
JuMark has amazing chemistry. Usually other shows show relationship progress in 4-5 episodes which gives CP enough time to setup pace and show that chemistry but here the relationship progression of a year was showed in merely 20 minutes and they still delivered that strong chemistry. I wanna talk about visuals here. Both Junior and Mark are serving here. Sometimes I feel like people are sleeping on Mark's beauty...he is ethereal. Coming back to their storyline their dating era was so fluffy and then that proposal but I low-key couldn't enjoy it fullest knowing Tim is scammer o.w. the part where Pai discussed about having kids or the moment Pai realizes oh I wanna marry this man and I want to have a family with him is so beautiful, you can see the how much he loves Tim in Pai's eyes but for Tim it's all scam and that broke my heart. I liked how they showed Tim slowly made Pai fall for him like how usually scammers scam they'll learn your habits and then make themselves as a part of your everyday life. I'm interested in Tim's side of story like why he chose Pai as target.
Even though it felt like relationship progressed bit fast, I guess it's a necessity of the plot cause for TimPai the main focus will be divorce and redemption arc as their relationship shows mature nature as compared to YuNorth. I'm ready for the angst (internally screaming cause I can't see my Pai crying)
PS: I loved their NC scenes, wasn't expecting to get served in first EP🙈
