Yes, they could have definitely done more in executing her character properly. Many things were left to our interpretation especially concerning her character's actions and missions. Back in mortal arc, the only time I felt she was really in love with him (and not just approaching him for a mission) is when she thought of telling him the truth regarding his origin and her mission during water festival. As you said only in the immortal arc, her feelings became clear to me atleast. I still don't consider her annoying or dislikable. As for me, she's the only likable FL so far in my Xianxia experience (I've seen far worst) 😅

Yes, I had questioned the SY part earlier as well. As she's someone who has been fangirling over ADG all her life yet failed to recognise TTJ until BRS got absorbed by him.

TTJ's mind got stuck in their (MY/SJ's) first night that he didn't think much about other things coming back from b'ore life 😹

On a serious note, for someone as smart as TTJ he should have definitely felt conflicted over his resemblances with ADG. So, it's safe to assume that face was only shown to us and Ming Ye still didn't get to see ADG's face properly.
