I'm sure he has always felt her love at heart that's the very reason he Infact vocslised it for her. He always said you protected me, liked me, the only person who never abandoned me. Even in the tombscene, he hallucinated her saying those words. However, it would have been so satisfying to hear it from her.
LIS kinda gave a closure to me there. Jiang Jun is the one to say "I love you" to him in person.

Hahaha! You're right. And to think that she never once vocslised her love for him is like another missed opportunity. Maybe she wanted to in their final scene but it was too late by then. 🤧 Porridge MU was necessary and it was done convincingly 😅 My only issue there was how she didn't want to confront him for killing his grandmother and straight away went into mission mode. Again by the time she had realised his innocence, it was too late. Their communication was only great in immortal arc. But too short lived 🤧
