I believed the same initially as well. But when DG's spirit talked to TTJ. He did say he's not yet ready to become a DG. He has to go through much more pain and sufferings. So, it's kinda hard to believe TTJ died there.

I have wondered about all the things you mentioned and I wanted to add one more thing which is how did TTJ became a Devil god in the first loop.

I don't believe he died on the snow night because as much as TTJ was helpless and weak. He had some sort of tricks up his sleeves to protect himself. I mean taking the love fury and getting married to YXW was his plan as well. So, I truly believe there's more to the story there.
