I'm always a fan of Enemies to lovers trope. However, it has to be done right. when I started watching TTEOTM, I realized it's not just your normal enemies to lovers story. It's a journey with complex writing and strong characterization aided by Amazing acting chops and coupled with Sizzling chemistry.
We rarely get a show that does everything right. Also, I consider a story a masterpiece when it has high rewatch value. Like it has to enhance your viewer experience with every rewatch. There's just so much details and depth to the story that keeps you engaged through all the 40 episodes. There's not even a single scene that I felt was a filler or unnecessary to the
story building. And just like you said, I've not come across a Xianxia that hooks you on in the pilot episode.
