Though I wanted to give up on coming up with theories, I couldn't help but to write this one:
After the ending scene, the scene switched back to the beach where Pat was shown clapping again. So, I still think the last scene is still happening in their imagination of what if they choose to breakup for their parents.. In the preview, when Pat says he broke up with Pran. Paa's reaction was pretty chilled but we all know in reality Paa wouldn't react like that. Also when Korn was saying "we used to fight back then now we are working together" he meant all of them (Both engineering and Architecture gang) are working together (That includes Pran and Pat as well).
I feel PatPran chose to live together against their parents wish and are still waiting for their parents acceptance.
I could be wrong too but just wanted to put this possibility out.
