biased and superficial in character understanding.U keep judging feng suige with real world logic instead of looking…
I am not gonna go into detail about many of the plotlines, but here's the thing - The story tries to potray that Suige chose not to be king but his father forced him, which is extremely incorrect and downright gaslighting.
Wei Qingyu and the emperor had agreed to let him choose his own path, but on several occasions, she was shwon downright telling him to not become king. She taught him from a young age that HE SHOULD NOT be the king, which is absolutely against the whole agreement. And then before she died to tried to take away the young first prince of a country (who, by the way had not made the choice to not be king yet). Which monarch in their right mind would allow his heir to leave?
I honestly don't understand how this drama has such a high rating. I saw somewhere that 2025's word of the year was 'ragebait' and somehow, this drama managed to embody that. You spent the majority of the drama in sheer frustration over most of the characters including the FL and then the last few episodes, everything is supposed to be fine?
Dropped this at Episode 5. The way the drama condones women hitting men even though they were innocent is just messed up. She slapped and threw water at him, which I can understand considering the situation but you atleast expect to see a proper apology once the misunderstanding is cleared but they just go about the story like nothing happened??
At Episode 7 right now and I must say how stupid some of the plotlines are: > FL was blatantly asked and informed that CEO Min will absolutely physically harm and she casually goes alone everytime her secretary comes to get her. >CEO Min very blantantly sabotaged business operations multiple times which are very easily traced back to her and there are absolutely no repercussions. > I don't know so far if it's true or not but ML believes that CEO Min killed his mother, (not to mention tried to kill him by rigging his car) but he is absolutely not cautious of her at all.
I understand that every character doesn't always make the rational decision but both ML and FL are not half as smart as the dramas tries to potray them as.
