Kim Bum!!

This drama had a well rounded plot with decent side characters. The characters were all likable, but were all pretty cookie cutter basic, we didn't get to know any of the good guys well enough to love them which made me root for the villian at times. The main girl was great in her role as leading detective, however Kim Bum was phenomenal in his role. He has more depth in his twisted character than all the heroes combined, also his acting is extraordinarily frightening! His darkness, devastation and strange devotion to his mom is so perfectly displayed. His devil smile and cocky eyebrows keep you loving to hate him and not wanting it to end. The ending wrapped up as well as I expected but honestly if Kim Bum was not in it, I would say it's fine but you could be watching better things. His performance carries the show, honestly, it's impeccable. His psychopathic subtly is strong enough to keep you afearing for your life and the life of others, the upsetting thing is you find yourself wanting him to win, because he's just too good. That and you really feel for his poor mom whose in denial. They kept showing the main girls family to get us to care but its all pretty tedious, while the Baek and Mom character on the villains end, bring out pity and concern from the viewer. Its sad when you hope a main good guy character dies just to make things more interesting. Kim Bum (Much like Tale of 9 tailed season 1) outranked everyone else once again, he's supurb. At the end of the day I'll wrap it up by saying Rojoon's last words; "It was fun."

I don't even like Rom Coms and this was so enjoyable

The viewers were right, it's nothing but fluff and you know what, that's enough. This drama feels like eating cotton candy it's sweet and pure and bright. The 2 leads are perfection in their roles. Yoon Seo is such a lovable and adorable FL she's so endearing and girly and she just makes you glad to be a girl. While Dong Wook plays a strict and straightforward Mr.Lawyer with a childish personality hidden underneath and only comes out when he falls for Yoon Seo. Their chemistry is so cozy & warm, they feel like a real couple. I was absolutely obsessed with one of the side couples and I'm so happy they got such a puppy love perfect ending! I rooted for them every second. The only downside would be the lack of care I had for his friend and gf, like I never cared about them at all, they didn't flush out their story well and in the long run I found them unnecessary but everyone else was golden. I loved all the lawyers and all the cutsy ways along with a few twists that kept me invested which is hard to do with a ROM COM. Touch your heart will truly touch your heart with a realistic relationship of two people falling inlove for the first time and remind you that love when your established and mature is the best kind. It will make you feal young and foolish, even though you're not and its often found in the most unlikely places and person.💗

A Very Gripping Drama

It was good and it all wrapped up quite nicely. The romance was the little ray of light peaking through the melancholy cracks of darkness that was this drama. This poor woman...The show had a way of lulling you with legalistic mumbo jumbo, and sulleness, and then right before you had the urge to bail or skim, BAM!! Something traumatic would suddenly occur and suck you right back in. The unravel of it all was entirely satisfactory, every video and voice recording didn't leave the slightest doubt and I relished every minute of finally seeing that evil man get his come upins. It normally wouldn't be my type of drama, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

Annara Sumananra ??✨️

Wow! So I started this drama because it was Jessie's favorite and I understand why; it was whimiscal, magical, beautiful, sweet and healing. I will say I felt like the beginning was like...I think you just had to get used to it. It was a bit dissociating, because every time you forgot it was a musical they would start singing. The first 2 or 3 episodes felt very kiddish. Almost to the point where you really just had to try to absolve into the illusion. For someone who has a hard time just letting go because I just want to figure out what's going on at the beginning. I wasn't really into the magical stuff, because in my mind I'm like, "What is actually happening?" But once you get past all that, and you get some answers and things start to come full circle, you really see the impactful, youthful and honest message that it's trying to send. Which is this idea that society is wrong. There is not an age or a status or a specific position that you need to be in as an individual in order to be of value. Because at the end of the day you aren't what you do. You are who you are, what you do is just a branch off of who you are, and only if you let it be. Whereas a lot of people they've lost who they are in order to do. I think the message was so profound and needed. I was just truly touched in a very magic like way in those last 2 episodes, especially as someone who constantly feels like a failure and like she is unworthy of everything and will never be worth anything, because she hasn't reached certain standards that society has sent for her to have reached at this point, it was something I needed. It will hopefully be a lesson that I don't quickly forget and because of that, because it was more than just entertaining, because it was comforting and enlightening, I gave it a high score. If you are someone who feels lost in a sea of people that seemingly know exactly what they need to be doing, and are doing it, this drama, is perfect for you. It was so meaningful and magical. "No one is useless is in this world who lightens the burden of another."-Charles Dickens

It was enjoyable

Honestly it wasn't bad and it ended very realistically. The main couple had adorable chemistry and the cast was star studded. The slow motion was a little much at times and I lost interest in the Female Lead's family story line early on. I can't throw shade at it cause everything that happened made sense and I liked the little twist at the end. But I felt like ALOT happened while at the same time nothing really changed. I liked it, I just didn't love it. It's definitely a fun, lighthearted watch.

The show was solid, the ending was wacky. ⚠️ SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️

This drama was great. The chemistry was spicy. The thriller aspect kept you going because it kept giving you new information and I really loved that because just when I thought I'd figured everything out something new would come up. The side characters were good, they were necessary but I never really felt a great attachment to them because the romance was the centerpiece of the show and it was what they focused on most of the time. I do feel like some of the drama was just done for drama's sake, like the bad guy shot his dad, but then like his dad lived and I was like; "Really, we couldn't have just killed his dad." Or we see our ML get shot but then it turned out to be a dream or she ran off a cliff, but she didn't run off a cliff.
Then he was going to be in negotiator but nothing actually happened to him and he ended up Morroco in a dangerous position But that really didn't amount to anything. I don't make some fake outs but they did that alot in this drama. They kept trying to scare the viewers into thinking we wouldn't get a happy ending, and I wasn't crazy about that. Also when the villian whispers something to our ML we already know what it is cause they revealed it earlier so there's no shock factor. I really think they could've held onto to that final secret till the end so we'd be surprised as well as Hee Joo. All that being said I loved the chemistry between these two actors. The scene at the end was so lovely. It wasn't vulgar or inappropriate and it was just very well done. I wish we could have seen their future. I would have LOVED to have seen them with children. I would have loved to have seen their wedding day. If the big Morocco scene that didn't amount to anything and the scene where he was talking to the man who raised him would've been cut we could've had a scene in the future where she even calls him on the 406 phone and have a cute back and forth to end it wouldve been better. One thing I really didn't like was the mother. She went from TERRIBLE mistreatment of her daughter to just changing in an instant because she thought she was dead. I don't know. I thought that was a bit much. This woman caused her daughter so much pain and suffering and then she just like NEVER owns up to it. Even at the end she's just like; "I did it all for you." When she's crying and she didn't, she did it for herself. This whole idea that she did it for her daughter is crap! I didn't like how they made it seem like this whole time this woman was truly just wanting what was best for her daughter, cause I don't believe that at all. The sister easily could have been removed. She didn't really have any crucial role in the show. I mean, the whole idea of the arranged marriage was big enough and then they could have found other ways to reveal that he wasn't actually the son of the 2 people without the sister. The sister just didn't really add anything to the show. There are things that she revealed that could have been revealed by anyone else. Plus you just don't really care about the sister. I understand the reasons that they had her in it. But they were reasons that could have been easily changed. Her entire character could have been taken out in my opinion. She just didn't have that big of impact. So yeah, there were just some things that could have been done better. But it was a really great drama. You could definitely tell that they were depending on these 2 actors to carry the show and they did. Their chemistry was intense, and sexy and vunerable and it just worked. If I find out that they're dating or they get married I will not be shocked because their chemistry was very deep. I'll give it that. The thriller aspect was also very good.I liked how they drug out the villain and they didn't kill him too easily so it didn't feel lackluster. At the end, I think the way they ended his story was perfect. So yeah all in all a solid drama and one I recommend and enjoyed greatly! 😊

I loved every minute!!

I think it's first good to say that my favorite Kdrama is BOF. So naturally I was obsessed with this drama! From the moment those boys came on screen I was ready to love/hate them and as a big a baby as Domyoji is, it didn't take me long to love him and his little permed hair. I love this story so much, so to see an adaptation so akin to my Kdrama version and yet all it's own made my heart so happy. I adored Makino and she and the actor who played Domyuji had great chemistry in my humble opinion. The story kept me on the edge of my seat and I anticipated every next moment. I just ate it up! All the drama, shouting, fighting and crying was just on point for me and every day I looked forward to watching the next episode. The entire cast felt truly connected and I loved the way Domyuji matured throughout the series. I loved seeing how this version played out compared to others I've seen. Domyuji continually mispronouncing words was too precious and Riu's devotion for Makino kept me going at times. I wish they would've done more with our side couple, but like Soujirou running away from even the hint of a committed relationship also makes since. Domyuji didn't hold much attraction for me at first but the actor was so great, it didn't take me long for me to fall head over heels for him. He never once wavered in his love or pursuit of Makino, even when he didn't remember her, he remembered her. His constant love and never ending persistent became what made him so attractive. I love A man who knows what he wants. This was just it's own masterpiece. Some may prefer other versions and that's okay, but this one is still gold and definitely worth the watch. Especially for BOF lovers. 🌸

Kim Bum was in it. That's why I watched it

Okay so honestly I wish I could say more about this drama than just Kim Bum was in it, but Kim Bum was in it. You know it's bad when it gets to the end and you're kind of disappointed when Kim Bum doesn't die 😐. I thought the premise was really good, and it started out strong, but it just seemed to drag to me, and like the whole idea behind the villain was very convoluted. There were a lot of moving parts, and most of the time you were just confused. The biggest disappointment of all was Kim Bum's character, which was to be honest pretty boring. I mean, you could definitely tell that he was hurting, to the point where him dying at the end made more sense than him not, but there wasn't much else to him. All we ever knew about him was that he was in love with this girl that died 8 years ago and apparently he just has no family, no friends, nobody else other than these 2 brother & sister duo in the entire world. Also if I had to see that girl, die one more time in a flashback, I was gonna lose it! I really wish they would have filmed more scenes with her and Kim bum so that we could have seen more than just her getting stabbed 5000 times. By the time it finally showed the actual entire scene, you were over it, like we get it. On top of that there is supposed to be a relationship between Kim bum and this Tae-Min character but the problem with that their relationship is not fleshed out at all. Other than the fact that he is the brother of the woman Kim bum loves, we know NOTHING about how they became friends, why their friends, or how long they've been friends. We see no flashbacks of their past relationship or present one. It's all tell, don't show. We're just supposed to assume that these guys were besties, but there's no evidence of that. So when Tae-Min dies and I was more heartbroken, when the they shot my little scientist guy who invented the virus because he was so sweet. He had a girlfriend that was about to give birth to his baby & he sacrificed his life to save them.
I felt more sad when they shot him then, when they prolonged the death of a main character. I just didn't really care about Tae-Min like he's in very little of the show, and we're just supposed to know about his past and deeply care about him. I felt more for Kim Bum because he grieved. There was also no romance in the show, other than the dead gf. If you want me to struggle through a drama put no romance whatsoever in it and I will always struggle just a little to finish it. Romance, just adds momentum and heart. I think that's why I loved the scientist guy cause he was the only one that had a romantic relationship in the entire show. The other characters were pretty basic. You liked them. You didn't love them. If they had all died at the end, I wouldn't have been that upset about it because sadly, you get to know these characters on a professional basis only and you know very little about their personal lives, the girl is the only one we delve into a little bit. But at that point, her character has been set up as so uninteresting and kind of bland that you don't really care.
There was little to no humor in the show. The one guy that brought in the humor was probably my favorite character.
Also, something that I absolutely despised was that they got the chance over and over again to kill the man who killed his woman and a million more people without remorse and they couldnt because that'll make you as bad as he is, and all that crap. I hated that! I hate when characters who are incredibly evil and have done unspeakable unholy things, the good guys just refuse to kill them. I hate that so much, so that was annoying. It could have saved us so much time in so many lives, honestly, including Tae-Min, he would have lived if he killed him when he had the chance. I thought the drama was fine. It was very much Mrs. Cop, esque, but not as good. Because Kim Bum was a good guy, whereas in Mrs. Cop 2 he was the bad guy, so he gave the drama a cat and mouse game that made it worth watching. All in all if Bummy is the love of your life and you just need to watch something with Kim bum. Here it is, he was in it. Of course, he was amazing as he is in everything. But unfortunately, I feel like because this character is just constantly depressed and just angry at the world all the time, he didn't really get the opportunity to stretch his acting chops a whole lot except in very few scenes. Obviously I watched it for the Bum, I love him; the show however I feel like I just finished it and I've already forgotten it. Which is a bummer, but you have those every once in a while. It was just not for me. I feel like it lacked the family bond that they wanted us to bank on, it lacked heart, It lacked depth, it lacked variety and of course it lacked romance, which is always upsetting at the end of the day. It was just kind of a basic political drama, with enough shockers to keep you going. The little shocker endings were the only things that I found myself looking forward to cause they were usually pretty decent.

Exactly what it was supposed to be

So soundtrack number one was so good like so much better than I expected. I give it a solid 9 out of 10. Would I have watched 16 episodes of it? No, but that's what's so great about it is that it knew that it was too slow to be a normal drama, so they just did 4 episodes and it was perfect. Anymore would've been too long. Any less would've been too short. I felt like it gave you just enough time to fall in love with these characters and to root for their romance. You really, really wanted them together. After seeing their friendship for so many years, it waa just like you knew them and you just wanted them to be happy. You just wanted them to have a beautiful, happy relationship. You saw his torment and you didn't want that to continue. I really expected it to be so boring that I didn't really care about the characters. But the fact that it got me to care in such a short amount of time and it and in such slow moving plot line was very surprising. It was very aesthetically pleasing and wintery. The fact that they could invoke in me a sense of care and love for these characters and desire to see them a couple is a credit to the writing as well as to the actors. So Bravo!! Great Kdrama to end the year with.

It could've been better

Okay. So this show started out kinda slow for me like the set up just wasn't great. To be honest, I think they just kind of threw us in and then expected us to feel this family dynamic with this group of people that we weren't sure how or when they got together. So that kind of set me off first thing. Also I feel like in some ways the show wasn't sure what it wanted to be. It was really light hearted at the beginning and then became really intense at the end. Which is why I started to like it more near the end. I really did feel like there was aFamily dynamic once we concluded. I just feel like we should have set it up better at the beginning. Another thing that had no purpose was that they kept hiding the villain. Every time you saw his face, it would be concealed and then, when they finally revealed it, we had no idea who he was. We'd never seen him before. They kept kind of making it seem like we knew him but we didn't know him. So I didn't know what the point of shrouding his face was. The main cast was incredible. All 4 of them were amazing together and separately. I loved it more as it went on. I loved the family dynamic, but once again I wish we had set that up better in the first couple of episodes because we don't know when they got together how long they've been we have just have no idea and then it slowly starts to piece together at the end. But because of that some of the heart and humor at the beginning felt unearned but once you just accepted that this was a group that had been together for a while the ending was so sweet and heartwarming. You really rooted for them as a family. All that said I really believe had the show taken time to set up everyone's connections better and earlier it would've went from a 8 to a solid 8.5 maybe even a 9.

If you love law dramas and only law dramas its fine

I DNF'd this one after episode 4. Honestly I just didn't care about anyone. The cast didn't really seem to have a lot of chemistry and it was just boring to me. I've tried multiple law dramas and I think I've realized that I just don't like them 😆 I find all the law lingo and court mumbo jumbo dull and tedious but that's just me. Joon Gi was great as always but honestly I wasn't crazy about his characters either, he seemed to have no personality and all his friends felt interchangeable to me. I was really hope for more of a time travel drama but it's just a straight up law drama.

The show was great, the ending was awful

I started this show for Kim Bum and honestly I didn't expect to get sucked in like like I did, but the brotherly love between the 2 main characters is so gripping and severe that you just cant help but keep watching. I loved the concept of the story.I love that it was like these two families that were destined to be enemies, but at the same time, destined to be family. I loved Dongchul & I quite liked the brotherly dynamic that the adult actors had and I LOVED the romance. I thought that the chemistry between Grace and Dongchul was out of this world. It was just so earnest and fierce and forbidden. Even when they were happy there was just this hint of sorrow behind everything that they did. I think it was the writers just kind of letting us know that they're ending would be tragic. I loved side Oppa & Jiana and their story line. Especially how it started; very intense and crazy! At first I was like; "Oh, I'll just watch these 5 episodes and then I was like I'll just watch 5 more and that just keeps going lol. When the switch of the babies is finally found out about it's bizarre and everything just turns to chaos .It's horrible to watch because you really feel the pain of the characters. You really are just like; Can we just pretend like none of this ever happened? But at the same time, you empathize with the characters because you know they can't do that. It's really hard to watch. When Don Wook turns to the dark side, you just hate him! You feel for him at first and then you just hate his guts and and then when Dong Chul dies for him, it makes so much sense and that makes you even more irrate. Because of course, Dong Chul would die for him! He's done everything at that point but die for his brother. So of course, he would. It's just so frustrating because you hate it and Don Wook and you just wish he died instead.

This one is really hard to rate because a part of me wants to rate it high, but then another part of me wants to rate it like a 4 because of the horrible ending, and it was a horrible ending. They tried to make it better because he was in heaven and the family was all together now but it wasn't better it just made you mad! I mean you followed this guy for 56 episodes just to watch him die in the end. On one hand it's poetic but on the other hand you're just peed off because you just wanted him to have a happy ending. Dong Chul is the best character in that entire show by far. At the end of the day it was enjoyable in the moment and it was very enticing. It was also heart breaking, devastating and dreadfully horrible. I mean, they cried more in the show than I think any one person has ever cried in their entire life and their entire lifespan. I don't care if they live to be a 100. There's no way they've cried as much as these characters did in this show. Very soapy, which is probably why a part of me loved it but not only was the ending just the worst death scene ever and just incredibly traumatic to watch but there were some other things that I feel could have been better. Like I wish we had gotten more love on Jiana's part, especially there at the end. You hated Shien through the whole thing and honestly he should have died in episode six. When Dong Chul is on the bridge and has a pipe in his hand he should have killed him with it for sure! That being said I felt the story was such a beautiful message because it was a story of revenge, but it was also the story of like realizing that at the end of the day is revenge really worth it? So it was very profound in that sense. It really just came down to forgiveness and brotherly/family love which are beautiful uniting factors of the human heart. So it came together really nicely while also just stabbing you in the heart a thousand times until you died and cried. I'm so glad I knew of the ending beforehand because if I hadn't known I would have killed someone! I would have been inconsolable so I'm glad that I knew how it ended. I kept having to like remind myself. It was one of the ones I didn't expect to get into I never expected to sit down and watch it all the way through. Do I regret it? No. Would I recommend it? No. I would never make someone go through all that. But the acting was A+ and the story was very well written. I just wish we'd gotten a happy ending after all of that heartache. It sucked that we didn't, it just sucked. I have found a new Oppa though as I now love Song Sang and want to see all his other shows.

Alot of struggle for nothing?

Heavy. It's like eating pancakes for breakfast it's great as your eating it but afterwards it just feels heavy on your chest. Everyone was either crying or dying in every single episode like Gosh bless. The parents died for literally NO reason and the couple separated for a reason but then when everything was perfectly resolved they NEVER even got back together!! It kept you going but the ending left you feeling nothing. The longer it sits the more I'm not happy about it. The end just felt so dumb.

A disappointment to be honest...

Okay, first off I'd like to clarify that I did watch full 15 episodes of this drama before I began skimming. I felt like the storyline was repetitive and slow, the main villian was more annoying than anything. He slowly slurrs his words and his eyelids are half closed all the time it's like he's sleep walking through the whole thing, he's just annoying. Also I really expected more Chemistry between Susy and Seung Gi, they just didn't spark for me, maybe it was the romance in itself that seemed off. Like they were friends and then they were in a relationship...idk..I just wasn't crazy about it. The side characters were all old, bland and or both. I really gave it a shot as I really wanted it to be great, but in my opinion it just wasn't. On top of that, the ending just sucks and makes me glad that I didn't get invested.
