I watched the first few episodes of this drama without knowing the negative reviews it got, and when I found out I was genuinely suprised.
A lot of the critisism is about Goo Hye Sun's acting, and while I do acknowledge its not the best, I do think it is not as bad as people make it out to be. I never really took note of her overacting because I personally thought it was just part of Ri Ta's character, and I still do. For her voice, I don't think it sounds high-pitched/unpleasant at all? I didn't even notice there was something 'wrong' with her voice until I read some of the comments here.
The only critisism so far I have to agree with is that the plot could have been so much better. The concept is really interesting and has a lot of potential, and its really a shame to see it wasted like this. There isn't a single gray character in this show that makes you wonder what their motives are etc; all the cards are basically revealed the first few episodes, It's so obvious where the drama is headed, unless some plot twist shows up later, but it doesn't seem like it will.
The reason I do enjoy this drama is because of the way the vampire aspect is treated. The whole virus thing is really interesting and maybe the only plot related thing that is really fleshed out and creative. I'm on episode 8 now, and the drama is improving slightly. If you enjoy vampire related stuff I would definitely give this drama a chance.
