Damn, those intense looks...Jo In Sung mastered them in this drama!! Decent story, interesting characters, lukewarm romance. But with that said, Jo In Sung saved the romance with his wonderful acting....he made you truly feel Oh Soo's love. Overall, it was a solid 8 for me.
Rewatching....forgot how much I enjoyed this one!! Im not one to watch shows or movies over and over again but Goblin is one of those rare exceptions. Love it!!
Oh, Ji Sung!! You are the main reason I watched this drama. My heart flutters every time you appear on screen. I still have left over feels from your portrayal of Shin Se-gi in Kill Me, Heal Me and that was months ago when I watched it.....but, I digress. Anyway, in regards to Secret: This story is definitely melodramatic and rough around the edges, but it works for the most part. No fluffy romance here but a storyline that was compelling enough to keep me interested throughout all 16 episodes. The ending was satisfying enough though I felt it was a bit rushed.
I think this is the first show that I enjoyed the bromance more than the ML/FL love line. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the romance too...but there was just something a bit more special among the 4 "oppas". Really enjoyed this one!!
Second lead syndrome is definitely strong in this one...he made me laugh so many times! Cute romance between the main leads in the latter part of the show. Really like how they showed their affection. Light, fluffy rom-com for the most part. Easy and enjoyable watch!
This was way too short! But, admittedly, it was a good start for being the first real BL kdrama. Really hoping to see more of these dramas (but longer) so we get to see a bit deeper into the story. For the short amount of time we got for this series it was definitely a solid beginning... and here's to hoping that the kdrama market continues to be successful in the BL genre so we get many more great shows in the future!
Oh, and on a completely superficial sidenote....Kang Gook is already good looking but, damn, he transformed into freaking hot with his hair gelled up. Just saying.
I'm in the same boat! Have you found anything that compares to the greatness of this show yet?!
Agree with you regarding TharnType! Enjoyed it more as the characters/story developed. Ive heard a lot of good things about He's Coming to Me so that will probably be my next one to watch. I put the other two you mentioned on my watch list as well. Thanks!!
Why are the kisses in BL dramas so much hotter than M/F dramas?! Almost every BL drama I've seen so far has had amazing kissing scenes....especially compared to hetero shows. Damn, them boys know how to do it right!
This was so good! My only complaint was that it was too short. Loved every minute, though. And, good lord, the sheer amount of hotness when the male leads where together. Just damn. It would be greatness if they made a sequel to give us a good and proper happy ending! But, even if we don't get to see more of this story...this series won't be easily forgotten. This show is now at the top of my favorite BL dramas!!
This show was definitely addicting. Like so many others said...its aggravating that it got cut short. Even knowing that its unfinished, I still don't regret watching it. Obsession or love? Heck, why can't it be both?!
Just gotta say .....this show had some of the sorriest uses of hypnosis EVER! Lol. Without going into specific details or spoilers: IMO, with a better utilization of the main FL hypnotic abilities, so many things could have been avoided and/or certain situations could have favored the "good guys" more often than not. Poor choices were made during these scenes.
But, pros....tons of kissing in this drama. And the romance will leave you with a cheesy smile on your face. Lots of cute couple moments, etc.
Overall, decent story with good romance and visually appealing cinematic imaginary.
DOTS was the first show that gave me second lead syndrome. I'm fairly new to kdramas...about six months down the rabbit hole...so haven't experienced everything yet. But, this show definitely made me realize what second lead syndrome is. Master Sargeant, aka Wolf, gave me all the feels and the way the actor delivered and conveyed his emotions did me in. So, yeah, I'm now a victim to second lead syndrome thanks to Jin Goo's portrayal of Seo Dae-young...
