Jiaqi and Yiqin's chemistry has been one of the best I've seen so far. I can't wait for their third drama together. And Yiqin in woman's clothing yassss yahahhaha
This was such an easy drama to watch. No overbearing or extremely annoying characters. I loved the story and character development. Loved the relationships and friendships portrayed as well.
So many times I was surprised by Ai Jing Chu's actions. He's pretty straightforward and clearheaded, which was what I love about his character. Zheng Li was also so relatable ❤

So many cliches in the story but I loved how they developed the ML's character. I cried a lot watching this drama. You know when a character touches you so much you'd root for him and want nothing for him but happiness. That's how I felt with Zhang Chi. He's easily become one of my favorite drama characters.

He met FL's mother early on (like 2nd episode i think). She didnt dislike him at first but something happened that made her hate him. She'd be annoying in most parts but bearable because Lin Xi's dad likes Jiang Zheng Han. And their friends support their relationship fully. Mom approves of him towards the end (27th episode). You'll like that scene when she finally approves of him. It was so precious ❤
2020 served us with really good dramas and this was definitely one of those! I love the pacing, the characters, the character development, the acting, and the script. Both Wang Anyu and Xiang Han Zhi portrayed their characters well and they have good chemistry. The way Jiang Zheng Han looks at Xia Lin Xi everytime, I melt! Everything feels natural! Ahh so much sweetness! When Xia Lin Xi is angry and she makes that pouty face, it isnt annoying at all. LOL. Her expressions are always on point!
And Wang Anyu is a total eye candy.
This is my 2nd absolute fave youth drama (highschool to college to work plot). Wait My Youth being the first. Forever Love actually reminded me so much of that drama.
Jiang Zheng Han is a lot like Lan Tian Ye, a "bad" student but actually with a good heart. One that perserveres for their dreams. (Ahh! that time when Xia Lin Xi started seeing him in a new light, it was really heartwarming.)
The reference to a Japanese teacher's story "The moon looks beautiful tonight" to mean "I love you" was also used here.
Plus that postcard sent a year later. LOL! This also happened between 2nd ML and FL in WMY.
Anyhow, I like the side stories. How everyone seems to be liking someone who likes someone else haha! Chen Yi Chuan was the funniest of all them. He was such a baby at first, but alas! Love can change anyone. And he played a big part in the main couple's love story.

I don't really like Brigette Qiao's acting in her previous dramas but the synopsis look interesting. Hopefully her acting has improved, I'll give this a try
This has been on my Plan-To-Watch list for months but kept putting it aside because of its bad reviews on MDL. Im glad I finally decided to watch it. I finished it in a day! I loved it so much. The draggy parts mentioned in the bad reviews were bearable. The overbearing characters were bearable because the ML wasn't stupid to get swayed by what others think. The FL's "stupid" actions and naivette were justified because of her backstory.
And I loved Fang Shiyu the most! I will miss her so much!
I very rarely leave comments/reviews on dramas Ive watched but I gotta leave one for this. It was a very refreshing and unique take on the contract relationship plot (we've seen alot of contract marriage dramas this year alone!)
The story development was well put out. The writer did a very good job doing the script (so many metaphors injected in the drama!) and I gotta commend the lead actors for delivering the funny parts accurately (like there were a lot of moments i kept thinking, "how many takes did this take, i would have laughed if I said this") The sweet moments weren't forced, they are so cute! Plus the lines OMG! I melt haha
FL and ML are both easy on the eyes. I had my eyes set out on Miles Wei since I saw him on Fall in Love. What an eye candy. He looks even more handsome with glasses haha! Watch out for his jealousy outbursts haha. Who doesnt like seeing a calm and reserved man doing stupid stuff out of jealousy haha!
Ruo Han also did a good job portraying a naive and innocent Yunshu. We've seen this character a lot, it's a common FL trait and usually I would feel angry at how other actresses act it out "cutely."
But with Yunshu, idk but I also want to protect her innocence and guard her against harm.
Bonus for us that the side stories are also exciting and not boring. I especially loved the two bestfriends who were exes. I rooted for them the whole time!
