This drama is almost triggering for me. I had my very own Soo Min growing up. My "best friend" since I was 5. I had no idea the reason why I lost friends over the years was because of her. There were so many misunderstandings and so much confusion and she was "always on my side". It took getting out of school and having honest conversations with the people who were once my friends, to realise that she played us all. - Even after experiencing it, I still find it hard to believe there are people like this in RL.
Decent, but I lost interest towards the end. It's probably the 'past life plot' fatigue. Considering that this drama aired roughly at the same time as My Man is Cupid, My Demon, A Good Day to be a Dog and Moon in the Day (and all these dramas aired after Destined with You)... Same plot for so many dramas at the same time... It was hard to be invested.
why are people complaining about song kang? is acting is pretty decent here i'm confused
His acting ability is... non existent in this drama. He has the same expression regardless of the circumstance. He tries, but you can tell he's just good looks and not an actor. I think Navillera is the best he's done. But shows like this, where there is no range to the characters, it's harder for him to show variation.
As James Cameron once said, it's a challenge for people who are not good actors to play a one tone character.
Everyone knows that ml likes fl and all that but why does everyone think its the only reason for ml to care for…
The one thing we have learned from this show is that ALL the assessments made by the friends have been wrong so far. All their guesswork have been shown to be missing the mark regarding all members of their friend group. Therefore, it's safe to say that their guess that the ML didn't leave because of his first love is also wrong. The writer has shown that it's because to him, she is his mother.
Thank you so much for your evaluation. I am on the fence with watching this, and am currently watching HTCCC (up…
I'm glad I helped. I think having the right expectation helps a lot when enjoying a drama. I think it gets better after episode 3 when the FL gets to her hometown and the best friends show up. So the first two episodes might not be great.
Up to episode 5, this show had great pacing. Episode 6 was rushed, doing the work of 2 - 3 episodes. We all knew that the FL had to work on herself, so the ending is quite a cop out.
I don't know why some people are hating on the ML saying he's playing the victim
He's the greenest of green flags. His comments regarding the break up come from the FL not communicating to him exactly why she wanted to break up. How could they think he's playing the victim? Mind boggling.
My initial expectation was that this show was going to be like HTCCC because the premise is exactly the same, but I was wrong. This is literally a weekend family drama that is condensed into 16 episodes instead of the usual 50. It is very similar to family dramas like It's Beautiful Now, from pacing all the way to storytelling. (Eg:- The three siblings and their love lives are the main story lines)
As someone who likes family dramas, I'm really enjoying the show. While HTCCC was a rom-com through and through, this is more family/friend centered, like Once Again. And I have no problem with that.
I think a lot of people tuned in expecting a rom-com and was surprised that it's not that. Whatever the genre, it's still entertaining.
This was one of those dramas where I wanted to know what happens, even though it dragged so much it couldn't hold my attention, but at the same time I couldn't drop it for some reason. Too much repetition (especially when it came to the flashbacks), but Pyo Ye Jin and her performance kept me hooked.
I feel like the logic isn’t really giving here like it’s his life and he was the one who felt down and tired…
I don't think it has anything to do with him repenting. I think it's more like... You know how narcissistic and selfish Gods are? It's basically the God of death who is insulted by this puny, unimportant human thinking that death is unimportant and that triggered the behaviour of 'I'll show you how scary I am. How dare you, the most unimportant being think that I am unimportant!" - So it's more like killing him over and over because the God of death was insulted.
Can someone explain to me why did she break up with him?? I’m still confused after watching episode 4
She was overwhelmed and burned out and she didn't feel like she had a partner in the ML. She was about to embark on a hard journey of rehab etc., in order to be able to play the piano again and she didn't think she had it in her to stick to a relationship that wasn't easing her burden. After all, the ML was so determined in his dream that he didn't help out with chores etc. It was just... too much.
