I only started them a few months ago and I've seen the ones you've seen. Hanako to Ann and Asa Ga Kita are the best so far, but Okaeri Mone is the most calming. I'm at the beginning of Tora ni Tsubasa and it's showing signs of being one of the best, like a cross between Asa and Hanako.

It isn't MDLs fault though, Japan itself doesn't want to promotion their stuff internationally. It's changing with some big projects that involve foreign investments, but mostly they are still with the Edo period mindset of key to themselves. I need to keep reminding myself that it's actually a good thing because it keeps them true to their style. Netflix interference has ruined Kdramas and I don't want the same thing to happen in Japan.
