Citing theories does not necessarily make it nuanced and complex, and my God, you're really gauging complexity…
Well then, let's agree to disagree, internet stranger. Nothing that you or I will throw at each other will convince us anyway. Oh well.

But that's exactly what the discussions I mentioned are making. They're talking about the plot's progression, the character's motivations, their flaws, how their decisions are affected by their preconceived notions of what society might think of their identities, what made them the people they are at the start of the show and where they ended up once the last episode aired—I could go on. That's nuance to me. And, personally, I don't think the characters mouthed the plot at all. They had conversations—healthy ones at that—where they discussed how they feel, why the reacted the way they did, what they're going to do next. Dialogue: a very essential element of any story.

And true, you can't base your opinion on what others say on the internet. But that's your loss. I myself admit that I missed a lot of things and little nuances that other people found and talked about. That's why I value the input of everyone when I'm analyzing something. On my own, I don't think I can discover and talk about all that the show has brought to the table.

Instead of being salty at my review, why don't you post yours here and praised it to high heavens, seeing that…
Nah. I won't take orders from someone who created an account, named it Sunset of all things, posted a positive review of ITSAY, then proceed to bash GSP. Just, nah.

So how else are you going to define "nuanced" and "complex" if not for the conversations and analyses that the show started? You can't just dismiss those discussion just because you think they can become "irrational" or "violent."

"Without any layers or nuance[d]" LMAO did we watch the same show? Look, I get that everyone has different tastes, but your takes sound like hate and nothing else. There's so much nuance to this show that there are literally twitter discussions over social class, gender identity, and allyship that the show prompted. Heck, some reviews even cited related literature and used theories to look at the lives of Karl and Vlad. Without any layers my ass.
