An Underrated Mini Drama
To Kill a Songbird is a revenge drama, with a simple storyline and that plot twist I never saw coming (nope, no spoilers in my review)!!! The main characters complemented each other, so their chemistry was good. Zhao Xi Xi, I mean Kung Fu Xi Xi :); I love strong female characters in Cdramas and movies (#IndependentWoman), and she delivered well. Mr. Fang Xiao Dong was fantastic too, wow can he act!! Most Underrated Drama of 2025
If you have not seen this drama, you are definitely missing out!!! I have watched this drama twice already!!The three females (including the doc) gave 5 start performances. The same goes for the three male actors!! I WISH there could somehow be a spinoff (like Yanxi palace adventures) focusing on the Xia Meng and Qin Tian.

This Revenge mini drama is WORTH your time
This was my first Zhao Xi Xi drama and I LOVE it!! I stumbled upon this drama, on a Saturday night after doing some studying, and I was looking for a drama to make me feel like I enjoyed part of my weekend. The storyline is on point, and the actors delivered, and that includes the child actor as well. Zhao Xi Xi was great, she portrayed the character's emotions well, and I got hooked. I was planning to watch 5 episodes then call it a night, but fast forward to 12 episodes later and at 2 a.m in the morning, I was very much still captivated. I finished the drama ASAP the next day!!!
