Thank you so much for such an informative answer! This really convinced me to start watching! I actually started with the TGCF donghua, then discovered the novel, and then watched MDZS donghua after learning they were by the same author. MXTX really is amazing

I just finished the donghua and absolutely loved it! Been readibg tgcf as well! Never watched a cdrama before, and the donghua of mdzs broke my heart. Thinking of watching the drama but unsure if my heart can take it 😭 What are your thoughts?

Just finished this AMAZING drama! Was like many others hesitant at first due to the 51 (!) episodes but now that it's over I feel that 51 episodes was not enough T^T To be able to continue being interesting for a whole 51 hours is a feat in itself. The acting - amazing. The soundtrack - amazing. The story - beyond amazing. It also had me jumping back and forth between who I was rooting for and supporting as well as who I wanted gone. This drama has been like no other that I've watched - it kept be thinking about it day and night and even in my dreams it wouldn't let me go! All the happiness, pain, heart break and tears I have shed over these charaters. Defintely won't forget it! <3

Love the type of ML that Jung Rok plays as well <3 So cute and not arrogant, just a bit awkward in social situations

Know how you feel, don't like to drop them either but since they take such a long time to finish (and I'm impatient af) and I just find myself skipping sooo much if I continue watching, I make the decision to just drop it and maybe continue later... But that might not be a good habit either since a lot of drama gets better with time ^^"

Completely agree with you. Actually, I didn't like Secretary Kim that much (didn't really feel their chemestry tbh :/) And love tha there's no big love triangle with a bunch of misunderstandings between the couple: their romance is just really cute and straight forward, which I absolutely adore <3
