I really wish we could get 1-hour episodes like K-dramas or C-dramas. 20 minutes is too short! Come on, Japan, you need to move on from this 1 episode per week / 20-minute format!
Maybe a stupid question: Wouldn't it be easier for everyone if the university or each professor provided notes…
In most universities, you can download the course online and there is often a video or audio recording of the course available. Never heard of note taking professionnals, that seems so inefficient.
This is just getting slower and slower The slow burn was supposed to be good, but all its getting is directionless.…
I agree, side characters are getting a lot of screentime since a few episodes. Maya is especially annoying a she is parasitizing the main story. The first episodes were clearly the best when the whole episodes were dedicated to the MLs (I would've rated the first 4 episodes 10/10 wwithout any hesitation).
I wish for a realistic slow paced BL story (not fairytale shit) without these annoying side characters I don't and will not care about. I mean if the episodes were 1h long ... why not, but 20 mins / week is super short, they should stay focused.
Before I start this, do they end up together at the end? I've enough of Jdramas with sad endings. Life is a lot…
No, the ML dies at the end. It is a sad yet beautiful ending. Prepare tissues. This is really not the drama to watch if you want to cheer up, it is very heavy.
but why not continued? Since watching The untamed 3 years ago , I addicted Chinese bromance. The untamed give…
Because the drama was censored. Autorities do not give any fuck about ratings. Untamed was produced before the extreme censorship laws, nothing like it will ever happen again unless they drop censorship (which will not happen in the foreseable future).
Wait! How is this based on The Miracles of the Namiya General Store?
It is not. This is a mistake. I submitted a correction to MDL.
This movie is the 4th adaptation of the novel 2004 novel "Samayou Yaiba". The others are: - Higashino Keigo Samayou Yaiba (2021) - Broken (2014) - The Hovering Blade (2009)
I don’t agree with this statement at all. They’re written, acted, and produced by Koreans. They don’t look…
Yes, but they are forced to abide by american standards because they are funded by Netflix: - Lot of unneeded, vulgar sex scenes. - 45 minutes episodes (instead of 1h) - Usually 8 episodes (instead of 16) - Designed to be multi season from.the beginning. - Cliffhanger at the end to make sure people stay subscribed. - American style filmography. - Widescreen aspect ratio with black bands. - Simplistic plots (e.g., the "good" vs the "bad", superficial characters, lot of high budget action and special effects but lacking plot) - 5 minutes intro + credit at the beginning and ending of every episode (so the episode are actually 40mins long).
The problem is netflix "kdrama" which are basically american tv shows with korean actors. I can't stand them.
But to be honest, viewers are part of the issue with a lot having incredibly low standards.
When I see a show as uninspired as Serenpidity's Embrace being ranked this high, I can understand why production companies don't make much effort to produce high quality plots. If producing garbage is enough to satisfy the mass and generate revenues, why bother....

But the preview for next week gives me hope, looks like he will appear more.

My favorite was by far the 2021 drama.

Do you know if Yoon Chan Young is a part of this drama? He has no character name associated with him.
Is it that terrible...
