hi, can i ask for a spoiler?1. when the main lead officially become a couple?2. any misunderstanding and break…
1) Yes, they officially become a couple :) 2) They're quite a solid and smart couple. I don't remember any misunderstanding and breakup. The story revolves more on how they both try to help together and fight their business competitors. 3) Yes, definitely a satisfying ending. Worth the watch.
This is actually a very good drama. I don't know why I kept putting it off to watch it. Despite some of the comments that the ML is a miscast, but I think William Yang played it well as a young, slow (not dimwitted) character. I would have been annoyed if the character did not evolve, but he actually developed nicely acquiring different skills from various masters (too much luck though, but it's a TV drama, so we can allow for some exaggeration here and there).
He's an under rated actor. He was good even in his short stint at Chusen. Then I watched The Legend of the Condor Heroes, and he was already showing promise. I just hope he'll have more main lead roles in the future.
This is such a classic and phenomenal drama. The story is well knit. The characters (both heroines and villains) evolved in a gradual manner. Acting is excellent and appropriate from lead actors, support roles, etc. Why don't they make dramas like this anymore?
not a fan of the ML!! saw him in another drama and was really disappointed with his acting ,. did he improve in…
I agree, I dropped this series after 7 episodes because of the ML. This is the 2nd series that I've dropped with Alan Yu as the ML. The other one is Legend of the White Snake. He is paired with good actresses as FL, but even they can't save him. His acting is lethargic. He is not likeable in this series. I would have wanted Merkat to be the ML instead.
I just finished watching the entire series and I was pleasantly surprised and I did not regret going through all the episodes.
Business drama may not be everyone's cup of tea, but this show resonated with me being a business owner of a startup. It touches on IP/piracy, competition, design, production, marketing, raising funds, partnership, etc.
What impressed me most about the show is the chemistry between the ML and FL. By the 2nd episode when they had more interaction, I could already feel that this show is going to be special. I also liked the development of the supporting cast. They started out as fierce competitors and they ended helping each other to defeat a common foe. This was refreshing to watch.
Someone wrote about the disconnect between the first half and the 2nd part of the series. I believe they were appropriate subplots, the first half focused on local competition while the other half was more on a foreign competitor entering the local market.
I especially liked that (almost) all the conflicts has been resolved early and they dedicate almost 1.5 episodes to provide a happy ending. Will definitely re-watch this later on.
