This is very good for a modern drama which is streaming only on a single platform and hasnt the tv exposure. It has almost 5 mil reservations, which is a record for a modern drama, made HL top 1 for Youku platform . Also, it hit 9000 pop. in 4 hours, which is great. In this case, those 1 ratings really doesnt make sense. If ppl feel they are robbed, they can rise it rating each ep with good ratings and in the end of the drama with a general one.

1. this drama was filmed in full pandemic, so 2 eps about Covid were piece of cake. They werent allowed even to kiss, we all know the restrictions China had during pandemic
2. it is not too ancient for the modern period, TCM itself is ancient, tradition is ancient. Tradition cant be upgraded to modern period, but you may combine ancient practices with modern/western ones.
3. STT has a new family. She said in the last ep: "for me the bloodline isnt important, who my biological parents are isnt important as well" RXZ replied: Parents are important, the reason why the chinese culture has such a long history and successors is not because of lineage, it's actually the cultural lineage.
