I myself is hoping for the Imperial Age to come out this year, like Serenade of Peaceful Joy, the costume is based on that exact period of time and the cast looks amazing.

Yes lol, think of it as a different dimension but me too that I don't mind the drama isn't like the novel, the thing that bug me is this drama can be better executed with such good casts.

I find the way they execute these incidents that happen to the main couple kind of boring, everything that been happening should be because of Liu Qing since he is an expandable soldier not of a school in a foreign country, it would be more interesting for us viewers to see his enemies come for him, making this drama more intense, this is a waste of plot lol.

Yes, the drama is based on a novel and it is harem :D, Liu Qing has relationship with Yu Man Shan( Wan Qing's older sister from a different mother), Fu Jun Die (they have a child together) and many more but the one Liu Qing loves the most and marries in the end is Wan Qing.

Indeed, this drama went downhill after episode 19, I can't blame the actors and actresses, they did their jobs but the script was a mess.

Zhu Ya Wen is the reason I watch this drama too, he is a brilliant actor but if they can stick with the original story from the novel, it would be great but i know they can't since it is a harem novel lol

Zhu Ya Wen does a good job botraying Liu Qing, he is exactly who Liu Qing would be in real life without the lustful side lol

Feng Cong is annoying in the drama but in the novel he is a comedy relived, Liu Qing plays him so hard and it's just hilarious.

I think because it is a harem novel although Liu Qing loves Wan Qing, in the novel, he also has relationship with Yu Man Shan (she is Wan Qing's older sister from a different mother), Fu Jun Die (she has a child with him), and 8 more women but their chatacters are well developed and ofc the one he loves the most and marry to is Wan Qing. I like the novel more cuz it has better more well developed characters the only reason I watch the drama is because of Zhu Ya Wen And Yang Zi Shan.

Im for sure they won't show it cuz they change Feng Cong's character. In the novel, he is Wan Qing classmates not boyfriend or ex (Liu Qing is the first male that she likes) and she hates him for bothering her so much but since he has a good family background so she has to play it cool with him. Liu Qing plays him by using his thick skin face to ruin his plan everytime he tries to show off to Wan Qing. First in a French restaurant and second at the friend reunion party, both happen with Liu Qing making him paying so much more money for the foods (he orders all the expensive stuffs, he even goes as far as taking to-go foods lol) like Liu Qing said: "you have money to pursue my wife, Im going to eat you broke." It's a couple chapters, im doing my best to summary for you, sorry.

Yes, she does, very passionate I must say but she is the type of cold on the outisde but hot inside so it takes quite some time for her to realize it, her jealousy toward Yu Man Shan is the first sign for reader to know she likes Liu Qing, chapters with her and Yu Man Shan fighting for Liu Qing are very funny.

In the novel, Feng Cong gets played by Liu Qing very badly for trying to pursue Wan Qing, I laugh a lot while reading that part, it would be great if they stick to the original story.

I recommend you check the novel out, they change the story when making this drama.
