I really enjoyed this drama. While some parts may feel a bit dated, it still offers great viewing value. If you’re accustomed to fast-paced, high-production modern dramas, this might not be for you. However, if you appreciate a well-crafted story with a slice-of-life touch, it’s definitely worth watching.

Are they doing this because they’re fans of the ML, FL, or just the drama itself? Honestly, it makes me not want to watch it.

What’s going on with the fake reviews for this drama? I’ve seen so many 10-star ratings from new accounts, and I genuinely don’t understand the reason behind it.

This is awful! I’ve watched most of his projects since ‘Coffee Prince.’ His voice is still ringing in my ears. Such talent, lost at such an early age. Rest in peace…

I can rewatch an old dramas for 12563th time but those 2 last episodes kill me even though I’m skipping. I put them and on my on hold list knowing I won’t come back. It kinda easies my concience.

I hear you and I agree with everything you wrote. I drop them when I'm bored. There are some I didn't finish even though there are 2 episodes left. Do I feel guilty? Hell yes. But sometimes I just can't stand it anymore. My job also requires me to watch a lot of dramas so at this point I dropped more dramas than I watched.

I remember this one. I came across to the ML of this version Joseph Almai on Reddit couple of months ago and told him I remember him from BOF remake. He said “ Boys over flowers was a total scandal that almost made me want to quit acting. The director and producer was using the show to steal money from investors, hence the poor production quality. I am good friends with all the actors that were on that show btw great people all of them :) “ I know we usually criticize actors acting on mdl and it’s ok. They are profesionnals and acting is their profession. However we shouldn’t forget drama is a team work. If directing, writing and production quality is low it effects actors performances. I studied acting and spent 2 years auditioning in NY. It’s really tough. Paying shows are hard to come by. You are in awful plays most of the time and you are doubting yourself, comparing yourself to other actors everday. Idk if any of the actors will come by and read this article but If I were one of them I would like someone to tell my side of the story.

I was waiting for Kim Jae Wook to be a rom-com lead for 12 years! I'm enjoying every moment of it.

I like your theory but unfortunatelly I don't agree. A smart celeb dumbs herself down to keep her guard up is an interesting character choice and I would love to watch that premise instead of this one. They don't give us anything to show how smart she is except saying she got into law school and she has an excellent memory. They said it, they didn't show it. They paint her as hardwording, ambitious, dumb but loveable character. Her self talk doesn't indicate any hidden smartnes. We don't see her making any smart choices. In coworker scene or in the poster scene I saw how she is tougher than she looks and she been trough a lot and learned to act strong but it doesnt made me think she is smart. If this is their plan for the show than there is a problem with their characterization. I hope it gets better.

I loved this couple in Goblin because I found her character smart, sassy and cool. This couple gets their own drama and her character written as an idiot. Seriously come on! Seriously?!? Do you have dumb down the female characters to be lead?

Forget the description. This drama is nothing like it. It’s actually a twisty, addicting melodrama in palace setting. There are no romance with the bodyguard yet and the husband is well... you should watch it to see...

I'm obsessed with this drama but I found eps 25-26 boring and over the top. I'm not trying to find logic in every episode this is a makjang after all but it feels like they throw the logic out of the window in these two. The Last Empress please don't mess up, please please, please...
