Title Mr. Queen Spoiler
I actually don't know if i'm minority but saw it as Bong hwan giving his life protecting Cheoljong when he was…
Nah i don't mind at all the "rant" jjaja as i from the start saw So Yong as a tool for the plot and movement with Bong Hwan as the hero /heroine of the story...Found it normal that over time even more after Bong Hwan accepted living in So Yong's body(after ep 6 and knowing he would live as a corpse in his present timeline) got "upgraded" to the memories and abilities of the body(saw it as a vessel to be frank) that he accepted unlike before when he resisted it,that of course didn't totally control his soul but did make a change in it as it was normal,he got all those emotions for various people, memories of them so how could he not change feelings as well...SoBong as i liked to call the heroine(she wasn't totally Bong Hwan nor So Yong) was at least for me more Bong Hwan as his soul and voice were more dominant.I also liked how Bong Hwan struggled with his feelings for Cheoljong and his denial of his love as he questioned many times yet he also on the surface always tossed the "So Yong took over"(like this was his excuse when he didn't want to confront new feelings so not him,the coward part of him) even if after he confessed he liked it as well(he did it also in the special episode Bamboo Forest)...I think the overall story was his story to finding himself and even more as a person, not a man not a woman,a person who fell for another...Guess the writers played it safe and taking note of the characters being real figures and made So Yong more important than she was meant to be and even return and give her the happy ending.
It was a bit confusing so don't know if the writers intended or played it safe in the last episodes while they wrote it(the original never cared about the real Queen more than a tool for the man who was the main)as for me till the last episode,So Yong died the night she killed herself, her soul resting on the lake leaving behind the empty vessel that was her body making way for the soul of Bong Hwan who had the will to live at the time. Like mentioned it is my view overall and take on it.Guess they wanted to play safe yet still give a happy ending and chosed to make So Yong return to satisfy as per se as on the surface it looks as a book wise happy ending. It is even more easy when u have the show's heroine appereance wise be happy even if she wasn't the one we were with in the journey.
Sorry for my long blabbing...

so is it a sequel or prequel? from the trailer, it seems like it's a sequel ....
There are random stories from prequel let's say as they show the first meeting between So Yong and Choljong before she was selected as Future Queen and after that random timeline within the main story with different stories that weren't told...It's not a sequel as the story never continues after the main one ended. There are basically 6 stories of like 10 min or so long of different characters including Hwa Jin,Byung In, and our mains SoBong and Cheljong within the Palace that were never told in the main story but happened...

The first episode on Viki is 31 minutes long. I was anticipating 1 hour ep, so a bit disappointing, but better…
It's an hour the 2 episodes aka the 6 parts...I think it was wrongly mentioned in the international platforms as the very early info of the special(like when it was ep 7/8 airing) did mention it will contain 6 segments of 10 min or so each with random stories never told.

On Mr. Queen: The Bamboo Forest Feb 15, 2021
This was hilarious, with somehow an even better ending than the actual drama and quite heartfelt...Episode 2(with the 4-6 stories) were sooo great and funny, seeing Cheoljong all jealous of SoBong and her being surronded always by men was priceless even more when he was jealous of the very person he loves(when she tells him the man she cares/likes the most LOL),that side of him wa quite endering and sad we couldn't see it more in the story...Like always,Kim Jung Hyun delivered,he really si great at comedy and somehow i feel sad the actual scenes weren't part of the main story as they were really fit and would have shown more of our main leads in their relationship...Their wishes in the last part were endering, heartfelt and lovable.I actually teared a little at Man Bok wish and of course ironically, the King's wish and Bong Hwan direct desire for him to reincarnate to meet him again.

The drama basically divided the community into those who loved and those who hated the ending. Definitely interesting…
They are more daring and more creative even with strict government censorship they can still convey their story in my opinion.I think they had the guts to remake and actually add in 19 eps quite a lot of daring stuff that i aplause but suddenly lost their courage and played it safe giving a happy ending book wise as on the surface had all the ingredients.I actually think people could be more open somehow considering the ratings till now,if they were that oripilated they wouldn't have watched or had low ratings from the start, think it's easier to stay in that lane and say the public doesn't wanna watch rather than take it and have the courge and the writers played it safe like mentioned...

''So Yong is Bong Hwa's past life self and Bong Hwan will meet his own Cheoljong in 2021 *a wild Cheoljong appears*''Ohh…
The concept is similar of course yet different characters, there the Queen is sooo sly and always scheming unlike here jjaja and the Soyong there is just the tool she isin't actually in the story unlike here, her role is only used as that"tool" for the hero/heroine...Cheoljong is better and more endering that the Emperor...The show is low budget yet the Empress is just as "out of this world',maybe even more than here i guess...The show has 2 endings and overall is more daring in many ways...

A bit sad the show didn't last longer, like some 15 min more giving us a bit more of the present timeline with Bong Hwan back and maybe meeting the present characters with a rich Hong Yeon,Lady Choi and so on as their did mention sometimes reincarnation, even in the special. They wouldn't be the same people he loved and cared but it would have been nice..

It definitely was not the ending many had hoped for but it did satisfy me in a way. I mean I already saw it coming…
Must say i had expectations even if I told myself not too knowing conservative Korea but tvN being a cable channel and more daring than a nation public one(aka the big 3 SBS,MBC,KBS)was dissappointed the ending somehow was bland and let down considering that it was quite daring till then with many things and the public loved it reflected in the ratings so don't understand why play it safe in the last hour if u had the guts to start the journey and it's story.

I actually don't know if i'm minority but saw it as Bong hwan giving his life protecting Cheoljong when he was shot so basically his "life" ended there and Soyong came out maybe because of her no desire to live and the child when Bong Hwan "soul" left her body making it possible to return to his original body in the present.

Totally agree as i think identically! This was Bong Hwan and CheolJong's story,So Yong was just a tool for the story and nothing else, she just basically stepped up at the end and collected the reward that wasn't even her's.It's quite the bitter sad ending in my view with Cheoljong being no better than Byong In or worse as he was the lead to remain oblivious not even knowing the person he loved is no longer there... So don't really know what the writers had in mind even more calling it a happy ending.

Pretty disappointing. The show had a scene openly criticizing Byeong In for still holding onto his feelings for…
I guess that's the irony of it all, that he wasn't any better than Byeong In,in the end...At least in his last moments Byeong In died with regrets but knew the one in front of him wasn't the one he loved while Cheoljong will never know and continue all oblivious(even if i ask how can he not realize!!!)...I guess his soul did kinda know as he felt something missing even if it was a fleeting moment..Still,consider it a pretty sad ending as pointed well,he loved Jang Bong Hwan not Soyong. They should at least made it like 10/15 min longer and make Bong Hwan(as he is the main of the show not Soyong) meet him again, even reincarnated(or my personal favorite if i was the writer, after his natural death his soul getting transported to the present timeline or the present one having the "dreams of his past life" reuniting and having their so mentioned second chance but i guess it's too much for conservative Korea even if it was quite daring till now)..Overall how can a drama have a Happy Ending yet be a Sad Ending ?! But it is in tone with Mr. Queen i guess...

why did it randomly fast forward 2 years?
Guess they wanted to somehow stick to the original webtoon but the problem they should have done it at ep 8 or so not now considering they already went away from the material...

What do you guys think of the assistant after watching most recent episode and trailer for last episode? Do you…
I think he is crushing on her from almost the start but doubt somethign would happen considering how much Yeo Joo puts on marriage and being faithful aside from her loving her husband...I would have wanted her to divorce that sorry cheating ass and get with Soo Ho as he clearly is a better man(at least from what we've seen of his ideals)

Title Cheat On Me, if You Can Spoiler
Overall i can definitely say i liked it a lot as the mistery part of drama was Chef's Kiss!!! So many twists, red herrings, masks & lies upon lies that i adored it,quite brilliant writting! I hated Woo Sung from start to end and he totally didn't deserved a woman like Yeo Joo...The highlight of this drama is our heroine, the brilliant Yeo Joo and Cho Yeo Jeong was perfect for the role... In the end in the grand scheme she totally was steps afar her enemies...
Must say i would have loved it more if she would have divorced his sorry ass leaving him the divorce papers in the house and left on a trip with Su Ho,that would have been a twisted kind of revenge.
