My venting is 5 years late as the FL's 'sorry' is 9 years late. I don't know whether the ML is a fool or just plain stupid. He didn't have to reciprocate his friend's feelings but choosing a bitch that didn't believe in him over someone that believed in him and stayed by his side for nine years isn't the right answer.

I totally agree with you. It's as if the drama is telling us now that it's okay to be treated differently and be discriminated if you are adopted. As a father you don't need a piece of paper to tell you that you have a child, you just feel it. The fact that he was forgiven just like that doesn't sit right with me and he gets to smile as if nothing happened. It's not a must for parents to love their children wholeheartedly but you can show some affection since some kids are just plain ungrateful. Some adopted kids still go looking for their biological parents whether they were loved or not.
