Anyway i second the fact that the OST is amazing and just a pity that to this day is not yet on Spotify. I 'shazam' it like more that 30 times lol 😅. So far, it's an okay watch.
Do you recall what ep FL finally reciprocates ML's feelings? Do they ever show them as a couple?
I think that is the essence of the entire drama. Wanting to see when she finally loves him back is what kept every lover of this drama going, no matter how many times SHI YI is disappointed or hurt because of her indifference.
I had mixed feelings while watching the entire drama since i was frustrated and wanted to strangle the FL on numerous occasions. Even though the ending was rushed, it is worth watching. It finally settles your heart to at least watch her hurt a little for him.
I fell in love with SHI YI's character that no matter how many times i was engaged for his suffering, i could rewatch all over again, just for him.
So, i actively recommend you to finish it, it hurts but at the end it heals too.
Trust me, 36 eps will go by in a blink, and by the end of it you'll be wanting more 💕
I'm a sucker for HE. I hate all sad, tragic, open or farewell endings. I said i would've preferred the book ending because my annoyance of her love for the 2ML was on a high level. But in my heart i'm content with the drama ending eventhough it was too rushed. If they were going to give us a happy ending after everything we went through with them as the audience. We deserve something better.
Still, it's one of my favourites. I will not choose to go through all that angst again but for SHI YI, we never know.

Not reciprocate per say since it was way too late when she realizes it. Around ep. 34. They don't show them as couple, just a little in the last 2 eps. Which is really a shame because we deserve to watch their love blossom after all that angst.

Can i say that i prefer the ending in the book? I loved this drama but i can't get over the fact that SHI YI hurt for her for the entirety of the drama and she never looked back until it was too late. It was really frustrating!!!
Still in the last episode, he is the one running towards her without her ever making an effort to run towards him or meet him midway. I guess their journey towards love is really like "A river runs through it".

Honestly 48 episodes is way too long and i tend to avoid these long dramas but i thought i could give it a try because of the leads, if you don't mind skipping over, you can give the first half a try (it isn’t really that bad if you love watching DD) then skip the rest, i assure you that you won't be missing much as it gets twisted and messy in the 2nd Half. I really can't stand the SML 😤
Dropped it at ep 28. Tbh, i love DD and her acting in YAMG was stellar 👌 , i thought i could watch another drama in which she starred. However i can't take this anymore, her xter here is a little annoying, the show started promising with the dream plot but as soon as i saw the SML's face i knew i would not finish the drama, i might drop it midway and i did, well kind of, i skipped the rest and watched the last ep. What a disappointment, i read here that MC get together in ep 31 or something and are so cute 🙄, but even knowing that didn't entice me to continue. The SML totally ruined it for me and thinking that i still had 20 or so more episodes to go (watching his annoying face) felt a little depressing. Sorry to those that love this drama but to me it was just meeeh.

I totally agree with you guys, i'm currently watching the episode where he has to prove love and i can't get over the disbelief. I feel like i've been cheated by watching the entire thing and to come across this stupid plot at the end. Where in this world would any man with all his senses intact be okay with this situation. I'm so angry 😠, i want them to give me back the hours i spent watching this. I agree that the ML was a douchebag at the beginnining and still is till the end but honestly that lie was TOO MUCH!!!
I didn't cry 😢 but i was pretty much close to. I'm too tenderhearted for this sort of drama. I only watched the first 4 episodes and the last one. Not because i didn't like the drama... tbh the actors were great and the story too but i can't stand violence and injustice and the way the drama was going by episode 4, i was already seeing the tragedy coming ahead and my heart was already in knots. I wanted to drop it, however i chose to watch the last episode. It was sad but at least like the characters i had some closure. I might not have watched it entirely but i connected with them and felt their pain for losing a love one. It was heartbreaking 💔.
