OK WOW
I remember reading the first chapter of the novel years ago and despite ghosting it it never left my mind, when I heard it was getting an adaptation I postponed reading it so I wouldn’t be disappointed in case the drama lacked, BUT, who’d have expected for the show to be this good?? I’ve watched the first 2 episodes and they got me hooked in seconds.the acting is very good, it doesn’t feel awkward like many other (just tiny moments here and there), the chemistry is definitely there but I’m not expecting a lot from the first half of the show since obviously the relationship between Shen Mo and Mingxuan is SUPPOSED to be tense so I’d say they’re doing their job. I also liked Zhou Yang’s(?) and An’an’s characters!
the show is obviously very high quality and I can tell they had an amazing budget because no matter how much you look NOTHING is lacking from any aspect.
lastly I wanted to talk about the OSTs or the ending credit OH MY GOD I NEED THIS IN MY PLAYLIST RN the singer’s voice is so comforting and nice I don’t think the rating deserves anything less than 9 stars (10 even)
also Shen Mo is so gorgeous hello??? he looks so delicate and fragile I couldn’t keep my eyes off him

So bad
I searched for the episodes with high expectations which is honestly my fault. I knew this was more of like a mini serie or something so what I expected wasn’t huge but it was still disappointing. Zero acting skills, zero chemistry, ok production, and that’s literally all to it. The leads were handsome but is that all they had to offer? They produced the serie in a way that made it unnecessarily complicated I didn’t understand a single thing besides the fact that Bo Shan used to be a swimmer then he started losing his memory and Zhi Hao was there for him and they were boyfriends.Also, believe me I NEVER comment about kissing scenes because if the story/ acting and other stuff were good then I could turn a blind eye but oh my gosh… the first “kiss scene” caught me so off guard. their lips didn’t even touch, I thought “oh so he’s hesitating and he’ll just go back for the kiss but boy I was wrong. like that half assed lips almost touching thing was the kiss scene😭 if they were going to act it out like that then better not have added it from the very beginning.
Awfully disappointed to be honest I feel like the story is quite ok like if it was made into a movie or a longer serie where things and situations are clear I’d loved it A LOT.

so disappointed
I started watching this serie with high hopes, especially since the other classmates majored in Thai language and Jay majored in Korean I was expecting one side to know the other’s language but when each started speaking in their own language and we’re supposed to believe that they understood, it turned me off so bad. Not gonna go into details but you could see the low quality and directing from the very first seconds. The main couple’s chemistry was not “awful” however it just wasn’t there. Sure, some moments I thought there were cute but what else? Also, the never ending scene of the girls simping over an average looking guy like…I did give the show a chance and I’ve honestly watched stuff that were worse but this also wasn’t great. only gave it 3 stars because of the plot that would’ve been so interesting if done differently and maybe with a higher budget but the show just couldn’t deliver anything. You could watch it and see if you like it but it’s just not my cup of tea.

Surprisingly better than expected!
So I have a long not so good history with vertical dramas ESPECIALLY Korean ones, and I watched this with zero expectations just wanting to kill time but I was surprised.there isn’t really much of a “plot”, but the actors actually did a great job!
Most of the time in those vertical dramas the actors are very stiff, zero chemistry, acting very awkward and making the overall vibe uncomfy, but this one is different.
I’m not gonna say the chemistry was top tier but it was definitely there and it was good, good enough that I giggled every time I saw them being together.
now for Korean BL’s biggest enemy, the kissing scenes. they actually did a lot better than big stream shows, although it can’t be compared to other countries or dramas, the kissing didn’t feel forced or awkward in the slightest.
they were super cute and I’d say I enjoyed watching this. would recommend if you want something sweet to wind off to.

Best Movie I’ve watched this year…
I don’t know how to begin. In the beginning I was not expecting much, thought that was just another school bullying case that gets ignored by the higher ups like in “Silenced - Korea 2011” but oh my gosh… I kept trying to guess things but I was only faced with surprises and every single thing was so so unexpected I watched the last hour with my mouth open jaw on the floor.
