OK WOW

I remember reading the first chapter of the novel years ago and despite ghosting it it never left my mind, when I heard it was getting an adaptation I postponed reading it so I wouldn’t be disappointed in case the drama lacked, BUT, who’d have expected for the show to be this good?? I’ve watched the first 2 episodes and they got me hooked in seconds.
the acting is very good, it doesn’t feel awkward like many other (just tiny moments here and there), the chemistry is definitely there but I’m not expecting a lot from the first half of the show since obviously the relationship between Shen Mo and Mingxuan is SUPPOSED to be tense so I’d say they’re doing their job. I also liked Zhou Yang’s(?) and An’an’s characters!
the show is obviously very high quality and I can tell they had an amazing budget because no matter how much you look NOTHING is lacking from any aspect.
lastly I wanted to talk about the OSTs or the ending credit OH MY GOD I NEED THIS IN MY PLAYLIST RN the singer’s voice is so comforting and nice I don’t think the rating deserves anything less than 9 stars (10 even)
also Shen Mo is so gorgeous hello??? he looks so delicate and fragile I couldn’t keep my eyes off him

DISAPPOINTED

I never thought this would be the review I’m leaving while I was still watching the drama, but I just finished watching the last episode and the only thing I have to say is what the actual f*ck.
this was so good, I genuinely enjoyed every single second of it everything was nice, the acting, the chemistry, like I was over the moon with how adorable they were and the insane chemistry between them, until the end that is. at first I was so confused, like maybe he was just dreaming and will wake up soon, but the whole drama was the actual dream…? that threw me of so so bad, and is the only reason I’m giving this a 6/10. I could’ve easily given it a 9 or a 10 even but to think everything that happened between them was just a dream is NOT IT I don’t even know who came up with that idea and thought it’s gonna leave the viewers go “holy plot twist” because it just made me go “holy shit”.
I still have to give it to them though and say they did an amazing job and I’ll just pretend the last part of the final episode didn’t happen at all for my own happiness.

So bad

I searched for the episodes with high expectations which is honestly my fault. I knew this was more of like a mini serie or something so what I expected wasn’t huge but it was still disappointing. Zero acting skills, zero chemistry, ok production, and that’s literally all to it. The leads were handsome but is that all they had to offer? They produced the serie in a way that made it unnecessarily complicated I didn’t understand a single thing besides the fact that Bo Shan used to be a swimmer then he started losing his memory and Zhi Hao was there for him and they were boyfriends.
Also, believe me I NEVER comment about kissing scenes because if the story/ acting and other stuff were good then I could turn a blind eye but oh my gosh… the first “kiss scene” caught me so off guard. their lips didn’t even touch, I thought “oh so he’s hesitating and he’ll just go back for the kiss but boy I was wrong. like that half assed lips almost touching thing was the kiss scene😭 if they were going to act it out like that then better not have added it from the very beginning.
Awfully disappointed to be honest I feel like the story is quite ok like if it was made into a movie or a longer serie where things and situations are clear I’d loved it A LOT.

so disappointed

I started watching this serie with high hopes, especially since the other classmates majored in Thai language and Jay majored in Korean I was expecting one side to know the other’s language but when each started speaking in their own language and we’re supposed to believe that they understood, it turned me off so bad. Not gonna go into details but you could see the low quality and directing from the very first seconds. The main couple’s chemistry was not “awful” however it just wasn’t there. Sure, some moments I thought there were cute but what else? Also, the never ending scene of the girls simping over an average looking guy like…
I did give the show a chance and I’ve honestly watched stuff that were worse but this also wasn’t great. only gave it 3 stars because of the plot that would’ve been so interesting if done differently and maybe with a higher budget but the show just couldn’t deliver anything. You could watch it and see if you like it but it’s just not my cup of tea.

Quite disappointing

This started out super cute. I was hooked after only one episode and was so excited for what was to come. everything about it was cute, refreshing and just nice, however after that misunderstanding about between Lee and Putter things just kept getting worse and more annoying it was like they were just adding stuff that didn’t even matter just to make the series longer which to be honest really annoyed and disappointed me. This one had potential but they couldn’t do it justice imo but it was still a cute watch all the actors and actresses were super adorable too it’s nice to see actual young people/ teens act in school series

Wow !

well well well; I went into this expecting nothing but was honestly surprised.
I’m not gonna exaggerate and say it was some top tier show or anything, but it was definitely AMAZING and better than so many other short/vertical kbls.
first of all all the actors did a great job and it surprised me. in almost every show there’s always moments where things feel awkward, weird, or even feels like the actors are just doing whatever they’re doing to get it done and aren’t actually putting effort into playing their roles but I honestly didn’t feel that way in the slightest. the chemistry between the main leads was nice, the show only having like 2 or 3 kissing scenes was actually pretty nice, it made it feel very lovely and heartwarming when they did express their love for each other that way and also helped focus more on the plot instead of drifting and just wanting to see them kissing and all over each other like all the time.
speaking of the plot, it was nothing crazy, but I liked the way they portrayed it without unnecessary exaggeration or trying so hard to add angst/ sad scenes.
I’d say it exceeded my expectations and I’m happy with it considering it was low budget and a short/ vertical show that I don’t watch all that often :)

Surprisingly better than expected!

So I have a long not so good history with vertical dramas ESPECIALLY Korean ones, and I watched this with zero expectations just wanting to kill time but I was surprised.
there isn’t really much of a “plot”, but the actors actually did a great job!
Most of the time in those vertical dramas the actors are very stiff, zero chemistry, acting very awkward and making the overall vibe uncomfy, but this one is different.
I’m not gonna say the chemistry was top tier but it was definitely there and it was good, good enough that I giggled every time I saw them being together.
now for Korean BL’s biggest enemy, the kissing scenes. they actually did a lot better than big stream shows, although it can’t be compared to other countries or dramas, the kissing didn’t feel forced or awkward in the slightest.
they were super cute and I’d say I enjoyed watching this. would recommend if you want something sweet to wind off to.

Best Movie I’ve watched this year…

I don’t know how to begin. In the beginning I was not expecting much, thought that was just another school bullying case that gets ignored by the higher ups like in “Silenced - Korea 2011” but oh my gosh… I kept trying to guess things but I was only faced with surprises and every single thing was so so unexpected I watched the last hour with my mouth open jaw on the floor. I could never express how much this movie has changed me.

Good watch!

This drama has been on my watchlist for a long time now and I picked it up very randomly today and I don’t regret it.
first of all the episodes were short and the drama itself is on the shorter side which was good for me since I struggled with longer ones but it did feel a little bit rushed.
to be honest I don’t know what to say about the story because there’s really nothing much to it, it’s very simple, straightforward but good.
honestly when it comes to sweet, soft romance Japan really does it best (IMO). throughout watching it I kept getting that nostalgic feeling which was nice and the overall vibe and atmosphere was to my taste.
the actors also did a good job, especially Hayakawa(?). his acting in the last episode really got to me it was just too good. I’m not a fan of open endings so obviously the ending was a bit disappointing but I’m still happy they have clearly stated their feelings towards each other. I’m giving it a higher rating just to boost the overall rating of the show because they deserve it ❤️
(would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something short and sweet to watch)

Watch this !!

I’m literally so excited to write this review.
I have only ever seen like 2 people actually complimenting this series and all the rest were just complaining or giving very negative reviews which to be honest made me hesitate a lot before I finally decided to watch it; thank the skies I did !!
Starting with the plot; to be honest it was nothing like fancy or out of the ordinary but it was definitely new at least for me. But it’s true it probably wasn’t that exciting or full of drama or unnecessary angst. I’d say this series was rather fluffy romance with a little bit of drama here and there.
The actors did a good job which is honestly surprising because Thailand has disappointed me quite a bit recently with their actors’ skills. I especially loved the actor who played Sila, Mok(?), and Saeng. the rest were good but these just drew me to them.
Dare I say the chemistry was insanee between the main leads. there was literally not a single moment I felt awkward or uncomfortable watching them.
and surprise? they actually know how to kiss !
Sila’s character is the most gentle and greenest flag I’ve seen in a very very long time and it was so nice to see.
the series was more on the shorter side and it didn’t feel boring so I binged it all in one sitting. I was grinning all the time and I’m happy I didn’t listen to the other reviews on here. I’d actually give this an 8 but I’m giving it a 10 to boost the ratings !
