My favorite modern drama!
This drama is so underrated! Wang Anyu is such an excellent actor. He speaks with his eyes and you are completely drawn into his character staring into those puppies. What a great, mature drama where the characters don’t misunderstand each other and annoyingly miss chances. Once they confess, it’s game on. The pearl scene is one of my favorite scenes in all the dramas I’ve watched. I don’t usually rewatch dramas but have definitely rewatched this one a few times. The chemistry between ML and FL is on fire and the director captured their tender and steamy moments perfectly. I was so surprised to find that the director, Yi Zheng, also directed one of my favorite costume dramas - Love Between Fairy and Devil. I guess he’s just my cup of tea!
