There was a torrential downpour yesterday. But the venue was still full and buzzing. The arrangements were superb! A group of devoted Wei Xing sisters had organized special support buses to take fans to and fro from hotels. Fans had been queing up enthusiastically for several hours at the venue. 3 hours before the performance, WZM thoughtfully sent a voice message on weibo asking everyone to keep safe and stay warm. As soon as he stepped on stage, with loud cheers of "1, 2, 3-showtime!" the audience and fans enthusiasm was instantly ignited. He danced energetically and performed passionately on stage. He had injured his right arm during filming recently but he continued dancing and even apologised to his fans for not giving a perfect dance 😭. During the event, even while WZM himself was preparing for his performance, he thoughtfully arranged for hot tea and warming pads to help everyone stay cozy and warm. He sincerely thanked everyone for their support on stage and had many heartfelt interactions with the fans including reading some of their flag messages. So thoughtful and caring. He travelled back to Hengdian after midnight to resume filming today.
Very busy! Isn't he supposed to rest during non-filming days?! God bless him ❤️

Douban score of 6 is not bad for a mainstream idol romcom. Douban users are notoriously critical particularly towards modern romcoms. Only 6268 people rated on Douban as against the millions of viewers on its broadcasting platform MangoTV and HunanTV 🥲
Here are its achievements: Starring #LiuXiening x #WeiZheming, the drama has officially wrapped up with an impressive chart record-and 470 MILLION+ total effective views! THE MILESTONES ARE IN: Drama Effective Views - Weekly No.1 x 1 Drama Effective Views - Daily No.1 x8 Hunan TV Ratings - Daily No.1 x11 From dominating daily rankings to taking the weekly top spot, #BlossomThroughTheCloud leaves behind a seriously impressive run! 547Million + effective views and multiple No.1 milestones--WHAT A RUN!
This has no Douban rating at all. It means there were not enough user ratings. The audience was that small?
I don't think that’s the case. Aired from August 31, 2026, to September 15, 2026 and concluded its run on Hunan TV and Mango TV with massive commercial success—surpassing 470 million to 500 million effective views
I can't believe that it's due to low popularity or small audience that there is no score yet. Douban score can take anywhere from one week to several weeks or months and it operates independently of network streaming popularity metrics. Because the series is still fresh in its broadcast run, and there are people who are still catching up, user reviews and scores are probably still actively accumulating, hence the platform has not yet finalized or displayed an official aggregate score.
Possibly the massive viewership consists of regular TV viewers who watched the show organically without logging onto Douban to leave written critiques or star ratings. Often happens with non-traffic star shows 🤔 Douban's official stance indicates that a score will remain hidden until the rating data reaches a statistically stable level of credibility
Miles quietly enters the crew of "Zhu Gu Niang" today 5/9/26 at Hengdian. Low key booting ceremony heldhttps://m.weibo.cn/status/5339757842271364?jumpfrom=weibocomS+Historical…
I think he is ML as otherwise production would have made official announcement. They won't announce until it's wrapped. Then no one can do anything about it. My guess.
does anyone know what did she do for a living when learning how to be pilot? She needs to pay rent!
She sells her property (her late fathers) and everything she owns and the money she saved over the years to fund the pilot training and her living expenses during this period
Aviation theme dramas are rare. Air hostess to a pilot journey sounds interesting. I will definitely watch. Trailer…
I would say it's 50:50 in the novel. Ruan Sixian's career growth from a cabin crew member to an elite pilot, alongside Fu Mingyu’s trajectory as a reformist airline executive, forms the professional backbone of the story.
In the novel, the three years of her training are just briefly touched on. From the episode previews it looks like the drama will only show a few clips of her training and she is already a pilot by episode 2. But there will be plenty of assessments, rigorous training and stuff like that on her way to becoming a captain. There's this one time when the captain gets sick suddenly, and she lands safely as the co-pilot amidst stormy weather conditions---definitely going to be a highlight moment.
FU Mingyu’s highlights are introducing new, advanced aircraft models into the airline's fleet. He personally visits the flight academy and successfully secures top-tier pilots, specifically RSX who is trained to fly the new aircraft models he introduced. He spearheads a massive structural reform within Hengshi Airlines. This involves executing a high-stress route restructuring and introducing advanced, new commercial aircraft models into the fleet. He faces intense pushback from conservative board members and older management. Particularly when Captain Fan makes a decision to do an emergency landing (diversion) for a passenger with a medical emergency, valuing life over money and airline reputation, he faced severe backlash from the executive board. However Fu Mingyu convinces the board and modernises the reforms to allow more decision making power for captains in emergencies without discounting the captain/pilots credits.
Their relationship arc is defined by comedic misunderstandings, fierce professional rivalry, bilateral bickering which then develops into a deep mutual respect that evolves into sweet romance later. In this regard, it was definitely Fu Mingyu who fell first and worked very hard to win her over as he had to make amends for the previous insult he inflicted on her due to the initial misunderstanding.
Regarding the drama, the production actually put a lot of effort into the aviation stuff! They even got professionals from an airline to guide them. They actually used a real flight attendant who became a captain as a reference for this drama. She was present at the screening in Beijing on the 28th and praised the production and cast for their efforts. The film critics and media also gave a positive feedback. So hoping it will be a good one 🤞☘️
This is an absolutely enjoyable and hilarious short story written by a fan on Rednote with some of the characters that Miles played. I loved it!! If you have watched his dramas you can relate to these characters
AF Class of ’92 Time: Yet another late night when Fu Mingyu had sent a message to Ruan Sixian, who had read it but not replied—he’d lost count of how many times this had happened. Location: On Fu Mingyu’s private jet. He’s got one, after all. Attendees: Liu Chang, Tang Yu, Xu Huaisong, Zhang Sinian, He Qiaoyan, Ji Yuheng, Gao Xuan, Xu Zhe, Lou Yuan, Yan Ke, and Fu Mingyu
When Fu Mingyu walked in, everyone’s expressions were rather微妙. Liu Chang was the first to speak, his tone carrying a ‘I’ve been through the rough and smooth’ air: ‘Go on then, what’s your deal?’ Fu Mingyu: “Vice-President of Hengshi Aviation—power and money.” “And then?” “I misunderstood her—I thought she wanted to be my boss’s wife, so I let slip a cheeky remark.” “Is that it????” Liu Chang nearly overturned the table. “Me! Liu Chang! A man of high standing. On my wedding night, I got so drunk I didn’t even make it to the bridal chamber; by the time I came to my senses and realised I wanted my ex-wife back, she’d already vanished without a trace. What’s your story?” Fu Mingyu: “I mistook her for a suitor and arrogantly turned her down.” Liu Chang sat up straight with a start: “Is that it?” “Later, she wanted to become a captain, so I begged her to join the company.” “Is that it?!” Liu Chang slammed his fist on the table and leapt to his feet. “I went to extreme lengths to win my wife back—from forcing myself on her to locking her up—and ended up getting stabbed. Yet you just apologised and asked her to join the company, and that was enough to win her back?” Fu Mingyu: “I haven’t won her back yet.” Liu Chang slowly sat back down, a complex expression of comfort—as if he’d found a kindred spirit—flashing across his face. Tang Yu pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses and cleared his throat: “I, Tang Yu, am a specialist in the ‘chasing-my-wife-to-the-crematorium’ department. The female lead had a secret crush on me for four years; when she confessed her feelings, I rejected her. It was only after she’d left that I realised—oh, so I actually liked her. Then came all sorts of chance encounters, bouts of jealousy, and attempts to win her back. Once I said, ‘Tang Seng’s flesh—once you’ve tasted it, you can’t remember? Have a listen. What’s that called? That’s called attitude. “Fu Mingyu: ‘I offered Ruan Sixian generous terms to bring her back to the company.’ Tang Yu: ..... And then? R “Then she was poached by another airline, so I went personally to win her back.” Xu Huaisong silently raised his mobile: “327 unsent texts. Ten years. After we met again, I deliberately got close to her under the pretence of helping her with a legal case. On the surface, an elite lawyer; behind the scenes, pouring cola into a coffee cup to look sophisticated.” Then, he looked at Fu Mingyu, “How many times were you rejected? Fu Mingyu: “……Once.” Xu Huaisong turned off his mobile screen. His expression was calm, but his gaze was complex: “I had a ten-year secret crush. It wasn’t until we met again that I realised the feeling was mutual. You’ve only been turned down once, and yet here you are, sitting here listening to us air our grievances?” Ji Yuheng spoke up at just the right moment, his tone as gentle as ever: “A ten-year secret crush; after we met again, I proposed straight away. To win her over, he learnt to cook and pick fish bones out of fish. The audience call him the ‘Border Collie boyfriend’—he’s clever, loyal, and even offers the lead rope of his own accord.” He glanced at Fu Mingyu: “Apart from being clingy, what else can you do?” Fu Mingyu: “I can also be coy. The screening feedback said I switch seamlessly between ‘domineering boss’ and ‘cute puppy’.” Gao Xuan nodded. He usually led his team quite efficiently in *The 19th Floor*. But when it came to chasing after someone… “I was the school heartthrob. The kind every girl in the school had a crush on. But I still had my secret crushes.” He sighed. “So, with your credentials, why on earth are you still chasing her?” Xu Zhe, as a science nut, attempted a rational analysis: “From a biological perspective, Wei Zheming’s face shouldn’t… Lou Yuan cut him off: “Don’t bring biology into it. I’m the CEO of the leading sauce company, yet the female lead labelled me a ‘stubborn bastard’. Chasing someone has nothing to do with looks; it’s all about your mouth. You must have been a bit of a smart alec early on, didn’t you?” Fu Mingyu nodded.
Yan Ke, who had remained silent in the corner, finally spoke. His voice was very soft, but everyone fell silent: ‘Three hundred years. I’ve had a secret crush on her for three hundred years. I’ve watched her go through twenty-two lovers. In the end, she fell in love with a mortal.’
The conference room was so quiet that one could hear the sound of the 328th text message failing to send from Xu Huaisong’s mobile. Then Zhang Sinian spoke up. He was sitting in the corner. His gold-rimmed spectacles reflected the cabin lighting. A 29-year-old professor of statistics from an academic family, he suffered from severe obsessive-compulsive disorder and pursued absolute perfection in everything. ‘You’re all talking about chasing after someone,’ Zhang Sinian said, pushing his spectacles up. ‘Has anyone considered—a contract?’ Everyone turned to look at him. ‘I entered into a contractual marriage with Yun Shu. It was for one year. When it expired, I renewed the contract.’ His tone was as calm as if he were reading out the conclusion of a thesis. ‘Matters of the heart can be calculated using mathematical models. Time spent together, frequency of interaction, emotional fluctuation curves—once you have enough data, the conclusion follows naturally.’
‘Fu Mingyu: …So, did you succeed in winning her over?’ Zhang Sinian: ‘Mm.’ The room fell silent. He Qiaoyan could no longer sit still. He was another CEO, known as the ‘walking computer’. Accustomed to thinking in terms of money, he firmly believed that money could solve everything and trusted only objective data and conclusions. “You’ve been chatting for ages,” He Qiaoyan said, folding his arms, “has anyone calculated the RO?” “What? “Return on investment,” He Qiaoyan said with a look that seemed to say, ‘Don’t you know what that is?’ “There are costs involved in pursuing someone. Time, emotional investment, and opportunity costs. When I was pursuing Qin Yiyue, I first calculated the probability of us meeting, our personality compatibility, and the feasibility of raising Xiao Bao together.”
Liu Chang interrupted him: “So, did you manage to win her over?” He Qiaoyan: “Of course.” “How did you go about it?” “By looking after a child,” said He Qiaoyan. “Marriage first, love later. I have a nephew, Xiao Bao, who needs a counsellor. Qin Yiyue happened to be one. We kept it strictly professional and signed a contract. Then—” “Then?” “Then the data changed,” He Qiaoyan said, showing a rare look of confusion. “I started crunching some useless data. How many times she smiled today. The changes in her pupils when she looked at me. The pitch of her voice when she interacted with Xiao Bao. This data… isn’t in my model.” Silence fell over the room once more. Fu Mingyu looked at Zhang Sinian, then at He Qiaoyan: “So your conclusion is that signing a contract is all it takes to win her over?” Zhang Sinian: “The spirit of the contract is vital.” He Qiaoyan: “The data will give you the answer.” Fu Mingyu: …But I don’t have a contract to sign.” Zhang Sinian pushed his glasses up: “Then create one.” He Qiaoyan nodded: “For example—an employment contract. Didn’t you offer her generous terms to bring her back to the company earlier? That counts as a contract too.” Fu Mingyu’s eyes lit up. Xu Huaisong silently raised his mobile: “327 text messages. Ten years. And you’re telling me it’s all about signing a contract?” Ji Yuheng: “Ten years of secret admiration. And you’re telling me that counts as data?” Yan Ke: “Three hundred years. And you’re talking to me about ROI?” Zhang Sinian and He Qiaoyan exchanged a glance. Zhang Sinian: “There might be a problem with your model parameters.” He Qiaoyan: “The sample size is sufficient, but the algorithm is wrong.
There was silence in the cabin for three seconds. Fu Mingyu opened his mouth, showing for the first time an expression that wasn’t quite that of a domineering boss. Liu Chang broke the silence: “So, mate, what sort of hardship is this, then?” Tang Yu chimed in: “Even the ‘chasing-your-girlfriend-to-the-crematorium’ scenario has its thresholds.” Xu Huaisong: “327 text messages.” Ji Yuheng: “Ten years.” Yan Ke: “Three hundred years.” Everyone turned to look at Fu Mingyu. Fu Mingyu remained silent for a full ten seconds. “……But I’m good-looking,” he said. The whole room: “Who isn’t?” He fell silent again for a moment, then said calmly: “But Ruan Sixian still reads my messages without replying.” No one knew who let out the first chuckle. Then everyone burst out laughing. Because everyone knew—Fu Mingyu’s words were exactly what the audience wanted to hear. After the meeting, Fu Mingyu prepared to leave. He walked to the door and glanced back at the familiar faces in the conference room—those who loved but could not have, those who’d chased their wives to the crematorium, those with secret crushes lasting ten, twenty, or even three hundred years... He suddenly felt that perhaps his own situation wasn’t quite so dire after all. Yet he still took out his mobile and sent Ruan Sixian a message: “What time is your flight tomorrow? I’ll come and pick you up.” She’d read it, but hadn’t replied. Fu Mingyu stared at the screen, yet the corners of his mouth turned up slightly. He was a clingy sort anyway. He could always send another one. To be honest, the whole thing really didn’t make sense.
Wei Zheming: 183 cm tall, with features straight out of a Nüwa graduation project; the sort of face that makes passers-by turn their heads for a second look the moment he slips into a suit. He’s played so many good guys… But take a look at his filmography: Liu Chang. Unrequited love that ended in heartbreak: Tang Yu. A desperate, all-out pursuit of his wife: Xu Huaisong. 327 text messages he never dared to send: Ji Yuheng. A ten-year secret crush finally fulfilled: Yan Ke. A three-hundred-year secret crush that ended in madness and forced rejection... It was hard enough that Xu Zhe and Lou Yuan were the ones actively pursuing him, and even that wasn’t easy. Now here comes Fu Mingyu. A true alpha male—power and wealth at his disposal, capable of being both a domineering boss and a puppy-like sweetheart—yet in the early stages, his sharp tongue leads to misunderstandings, whilst later on he becomes clingy and pursues his love. Even when he’s jealous, it’s only directed at himself. Some say this defies logic. (Yes, that’s me.) But I don’t think that’s entirely the case. (Contradictory, isn’t it?) Wei Zheming’s greatest strength lies in making these ‘unscientific’ elements seem plausible. He plays Liu Chang. You can see the inner turmoil of a man crushed by his family and weighed down by fate. When he plays Xu Huaisong, you can empathise with all the fear and restraint behind those 327 unsent text messages. When he plays Yan Ke, you can understand what it feels like to harbour a three-hundred-year-old obsession. When he plays Fu Mingyu, you can accept the complete contrast of a domineering boss who’s aloof and proud at first but becomes clingy later on..... Because his acting gives a source to the ‘struggle’ in every character. Can’t a man as handsome as Shi Shi struggle to win someone over? Yes, he can. And audiences absolutely love watching it. It is precisely because he is the one playing the part that you are willing to believe: even those who hold the best hand in the world can still be clumsy, hesitant, and say one thing whilst meaning another when it comes to love; they can send 327 text messages they never dare to send, and harbour a secret crush for many, many years. ... This is probably why we’re willing to watch him ‘struggle to win someone over’ time and time again.

You’ve only been turned down once, and yet here you are, sitting here listening to us air our grievances?”
Ji Yuheng spoke up at just the right moment, his tone as gentle as ever: “A ten-year secret crush; after we met again, I proposed straight away. To win her over, he learnt to cook and pick fish bones out of fish. The audience call him the ‘Border Collie boyfriend’—he’s clever, loyal, and even offers the lead rope of his own accord.”
He glanced at Fu Mingyu: “Apart from being clingy, what else can you do?”
Fu Mingyu: “I can also be coy. The screening feedback said I switch seamlessly between ‘domineering boss’ and ‘cute puppy’.”
Gao Xuan nodded. He usually led his team quite efficiently in *The 19th Floor*. But when it came to chasing after someone… “I was the school heartthrob. The kind every girl in the school had a crush on. But I still had my secret crushes.” He sighed. “So, with your credentials, why on earth are you still chasing her?”
Xu Zhe, as a science nut, attempted a rational analysis: “From a biological perspective, Wei Zheming’s face shouldn’t…
Lou Yuan cut him off: “Don’t bring biology into it. I’m the CEO of the leading sauce company, yet the female lead labelled me a ‘stubborn bastard’. Chasing someone has nothing to do with looks; it’s all about your mouth. You must have been a bit of a smart alec early on, didn’t you?”
Fu Mingyu nodded.
‘Has anyone considered—a contract?’
Everyone turned to look at him.
‘Fu Mingyu: …So, did you succeed in winning her over?’
Zhang Sinian: ‘Mm.’
The room fell silent.
He Qiaoyan could no longer sit still. He was another CEO, known as the ‘walking computer’. Accustomed to thinking in terms of money, he firmly believed that money could solve everything and trusted only objective data and conclusions.
“You’ve been chatting for ages,” He Qiaoyan said, folding his arms, “has anyone calculated the RO?”
“What?
“Return on investment,” He Qiaoyan said with a look that seemed to say, ‘Don’t you know what that is?’ “There are costs involved in pursuing someone. Time, emotional investment, and opportunity costs. When I was pursuing Qin Yiyue, I first calculated the probability of us meeting, our personality compatibility, and the feasibility of raising Xiao Bao together.”
Liu Chang interrupted him: “So, did you manage to win her over?”
He Qiaoyan: “Of course.”
“How did you go about it?”
“By looking after a child,” said He Qiaoyan. “Marriage first, love later. I have a nephew, Xiao Bao, who needs a counsellor. Qin Yiyue happened to be one. We kept it strictly professional and signed a contract. Then—”
“Then?”
“Then the data changed,” He Qiaoyan said, showing a rare look of confusion. “I started crunching some useless data. How many times she smiled today. The changes in her pupils when she looked at me. The pitch of her voice when she interacted with Xiao Bao. This data… isn’t in my model.”
Silence fell over the room once more.
Zhang Sinian: “There might be a problem with your model parameters.”
He Qiaoyan:
“The sample size is sufficient,
but the algorithm is wrong.
There was silence in the cabin for three seconds. Fu Mingyu opened his mouth, showing for the first time an expression that wasn’t quite that of a domineering boss. Liu Chang broke the silence: “So, mate, what sort of hardship is this, then?”
Tang Yu chimed in: “Even the ‘chasing-your-girlfriend-to-the-crematorium’ scenario has its thresholds.”
Xu Huaisong: “327 text messages.”
Ji Yuheng: “Ten years.”
Yan Ke: “Three hundred years.”
Everyone turned to look at Fu Mingyu.
Fu Mingyu remained silent for a full ten seconds.
“……But I’m good-looking,” he said.
The whole room: “Who isn’t?” He fell silent again for a moment, then said calmly: “But Ruan Sixian still reads my messages without replying.”
No one knew who let out the first chuckle. Then everyone burst out laughing.
Because everyone knew—Fu Mingyu’s words were exactly what the audience wanted to hear.
After the meeting, Fu Mingyu prepared to leave. He walked to the door and glanced back at the familiar faces in the conference room—those who loved but could not have, those who’d chased their wives to the crematorium, those with secret crushes lasting ten, twenty, or even
three hundred years...
He suddenly felt that perhaps his own situation wasn’t quite so dire after all. Yet he still took out his mobile and sent Ruan Sixian a message: “What time is your flight tomorrow? I’ll come and pick you up.”
She’d read it, but hadn’t replied.
(Yes, that’s me.)
But I don’t think that’s entirely the case. (Contradictory, isn’t it?)
Wei Zheming’s greatest strength lies in making these ‘unscientific’ elements seem plausible.
I would like Meng Ziyi paired with Miles in a modern drama. They look great together 🤩🤩
