I actually laughed @ your post/share because when I read, 'rant'...I was thinking "Oh no...(wait for it)...," and to learn that it was a cute candor! 😁 I got the logists of your share; repetitive since I saw something similar in Goodbye My Princess, The King's Women, etc. I used to think this of some sayings (historicals> modern days > family usage) and then it dawn on me that it is figure of speeches.
Off on a tangent: This inspired me to make some of a medicine herbal soup today that my beloved Chinese mom taught me to make! 👍🙏🏼 Some may be bitter so at times I add dates!

Tbh, I have dropped a few of his recent dramas but this one is pretty good so far! I actually liked him when he acted with Cheng Xiao (check out Falling into your smile when you have a chance).
