No it's will be ep 19 or 20 I guess coz the preview are misleading πΊ
I love my mydramalist commenters! lol Your comments at times affirm that we are watching the same drama and at times Iβm not delulu! π€¦π»ββοΈππ
No ! USA movies are propaganda, not this drama, its just chinese history
Ah, in agreement; thanks! I know that I'm preaching to the choir here with you. I appreciate how you go against the current and be vocal!
I understand why it may be called/addressed as propaganda whenever China is showing 'China' in a good light but China also approved 'the first shot' which addressed how gangster and Chinese people are also drug dealers and do wrong to their own people.π€¦π»ββοΈ
China dramas are overall trying to market to their own people, therefore, it has to portray themselves in a 'good/better' light. i.e. I won't be able to get away in my business meetings if I said that my company sucks to my own teammates. lol π€£ Keep on enjoying! π
Well imo its mostly romance dramas that gain a lot of popularity outside of China, unless there is a really popular…
π I would like to genuinely thank you for mentioning long night because that series fell through the cracks for me and Iβm just watching it now! π
The show is doing well, its getting very good comments on Chinese sites.
Thank YOU dear; Wind direction also have their learning cantonese moments which cracked me up (similar to the first shot). Hope all is well. I'll try to check out Tibetan Sea again. Thanks to you guys, I'll check out 'Long Night'. Wind direction has some enduring family/school;/communities moments and not too much mentioned on oil other than the location's income sources/occupations. Am aware you're a busy lady so I'll let you get back to....π€£
p/s: β€οΈ reading the commenters because I also didn't get the plot in Chang Lu (Melody) and you guys were so nice to the 'bromances' threads (many) on the first shot's page! π Keep on enjoying! See you soon.

ofc, I'm one of many commenters who like your reviews/comments lol No need to thank! Thank you for your supportive words! ππΌ
I'd like to share more on different pages but just don't want to make others upset with my candor. For example, I didn't find the Double or other historical dramas this year to as 'great' as others thought and actually enjoy AYTO more. I also found that the writing was off in Melody of...; like many others, I couldn't get the cases/storyline, in my case, probably due to lack of focus. I feel like the writers go off on tangents like me lol π€¦π»ββοΈ
It is always great to see you along with other friends/commenters on here! π

@PeachBlossomGoddess πππΌ! Always enjoy your shares on stats & whenever you impart on your knowledge; fyi, β€οΈ your AYTO review; especially the strong female characters comment (spot on). π. Unbeknownst to you, I always click on 'find this review helpful' for your reviews! π€£
I've been so impressed by how female characters are depicted as strong, intelligent, beautiful, leaders, etcin cdramas lately; some can even carry an entire show! πͺπΌππΌ
Like you, I'm also liking the first shot; have you given Wind Direction a chance? WD - pretty enjoyable so far....
No ! USA movies are propaganda, not this drama, its just chinese history
Thank you for this post! π I couldn't agree more; it isn't propaganda but rather Chinese nationalism/nationalist.
I've been impressed by Cdramas lately for being able to portray strong female characters/leaders as well as the fact that good and bad people exists in this world and in different cultures/countries (i.e. good family relations, etc in these type of dramas and even drug dealers, gangsters such as the case in 'the first shot'. I feel like commenters like to overuse 'propaganda'. π€¦π»ββοΈ Keep on enjoying.
I also β€οΈ Qin Lan; she is beautiful! π» The costumes and the other actresses are also breath-taking. Tbh,…
100%! Like the saying goes, it takes one to know one, right? lol Kidding...I've been impressed by the latest crime c-dramas; please watch her latest drama.
π₯° the new profile pic! (Have an idea on the artist!)
Thank you and the same to you!
Just know that I will be smirking/smiling or laughing on the side Whenever you make funny or intelligent posts Almost always or quite frequent with you dear! lol π
Ty for the short review. Sorry to hear this was a let down. Was thinking of asking my folks to watch this but…
TY for the reply (so nice to see you) & quite the honor dear! Hope life has been kind to you! No apologies necessary; as a sentimentalist, her songs are nostalgic since my beloved parents liked them! π Please suggest they watch but fast forward like me. lol There were some touching moments: mostly, Teresa and her relatable family stories and I would recommend them watching for some of the photos/video montages in the ending.
Btw, I read most of your comments; 1) my beloved mom also would agreed with the really 'red' lipstick being π 2) Spot on the double's review; especially your thoughts on the ending.
TY for your recommendations on Joy of Life; finally caught on to what you guys have been raving about! Intelligence (plot, acting, etc) and strategic! ππ₯π. Hoping to see you soon. Happiest days to everyone! πͺ·
Of course it is a Chinese propaganda movie, but as China has now made a vey successful comeback to the world scene…
Appreciate your share/candor! Intelligence is relative, isn't it? I know people who are dumb but think they are the smartest and the opposite is true (as I am getting older, I realized that the more I know, the more I don't know!).
As previously stated, I"m not a proponent of communism but rather view this as nationalism/patriotism. I feel like its good to see that any cultures/countries/politics/race/etc have 'goods' and 'bads' but to have an open mind.
My beloved mom delineated to me that during Mao's last days, his then wife, Jian Qing took the reins of leadership and did/committed a lot of 'bads' (ie shutting down labs/researches/etc) due to jealousy...etc. Meanwhile, I also realized that Chinese people suffered a lot during imperialism. (although I'm enamored with China's imperial histories)..opium...people had no food to eat to pay off debts (to western countries)! My beloved grandmother was able to be literate! (So proud!) Meanwhile, Chiang KS and KMT left with $$$. I have good friends who are Chinese and Taiwanese (Americans, etc) so I refrained from judgements.
Looking forward to seeing you in other Chinese dramas! Keep on enjoying! I'm also watching shooting stars; I used to dislike Republican era dramas until War of Faith opened up my eyes and encouraged me to give othar R era's dramas a chance. πππ
