I typically like these types of plots but this drama is actually twisted and the ML is absolutely despicable. It’s not a case of “we are adopted siblings”. They both literally have intimate scenes while thinking they are blood siblings. And not only did the ML not protect the FL against his mother who is literally selling her as a prostitute….he actually partakes in it!!!! WTF. This is probably the worst ML ever.

Well, that’s your view of romance. To me, and others, romance is about emotional and physical intimacy. So a grown man avoiding intimacy with a woman like the plague while trying to make is believe he loves her, is ridiculous. That works for teenager/idol type of plots. But he’s too grown for that. Interesting that he’s the only actor I know of that does that. All other C actors (men or women) build chemistry more convincingly. If it’s not a romance then the tag is misleading.

Another romantic drama that the ML will ruin. I don't get why he is so stubborn about being a lead in a romantic drama. Just do thriller, action or whatever, dude

No excuse, she is capable of showing care and love to her friend and mother. Also she’s been outsmarting every single person and is managing a huge household. But you bring up age when it suits you. Lol

17 year olds are immature in our era but they were full grown and mature back then. Most already had their own children and managed full households (which she does now)

Woman, this is a drama set in a totally different century (where women were seen as commodities) and you’re bringing up misogyny….Expecting her to not cruelly reject a child’s hug has nothing to do with misogyny. She knows the child, she played with her, put her to sleep, gifted her a hairpin and she is her aunt too. Hugging back a child has nothing to do with being motherly. Calm down and stop projecting

This is not modern times. Back then people were very mature very young and were getting married very Young too. A 17 year old would be acting like an adult

I know but he is not supposed to read her mind so not his fault. He even asked her if she really means it and only then did he find the confidence to “propose”. He is treating it like a contract because he thinks that’s what she wants.

To be fair, she is the one who told him she is not interested in love. She was crystal clear about it

Women were getting married even earlier back then. The actress is 30 so no reason for no kiss. The no kiss rule typically applies when the actress is a minor or too young in real life.

Well her predicament is not great compared to his. You seem to forget that women have to marry eventually and often don’t choose whom or end up with evil stepmothers. So she has a lot more to win by marrying him than him by marrying her.

The FL would really luck out marrying into the ML’s family. His adoptive mother seems so kind, caring and supportive. The aunt is sweet and funny, and his adoptive daughter is sooo precious and cute. And the ML is hot and protective. She would definitely find the warmth and family life she dreams of.

The ML is driving me crazy (in a good way). The way he says the harshest words to her but his actions are the complete opposite: full of tenderness and admiration. The way he softly touched her scars, the way he grabbed her in a protective way when she strangled evil concubine, the way he gazes at her from afar everytime they are in a room together. He is gone gone.

Well, she tried to kill him twice and he saved her a few times. Plus she is the one who undressed. Some of you really struggle with the concept of accountability and love blaming men for everything. Sigh

His priority is to find a wife that can protect and look after his daughter as he is ill and probably thinks he will die. He knows his daughter will not be safe if he dies. That’s why he is protecting her. He sees her as the perfect candidate as she is patient, ruthless and smart. I think he is slowly falling in love but don’t think it was live at first sight

OMG the last episodes were literally chef’s kiss and pure perfection. I cried so much and felt the FL’s desperation in my core. And the ML’s desire and deep respect and admiration. This is now my favourite couple besides the ones in SOKP
