Honeslty I am soooo gratefukl that the writers didn't try to tame the ML and created such a complex and layered grey characters. He is now my favourite lead in C dramas. You resent him for his cruelty but can't help siding with him when he shows his protective side with her, his cousin, etc. He has a fierce look but very gentle manners and voice.
I am OBSESSED with this drama. So far everything about it is so perfect- cast, chemistry, screenplay, cinematography, pace. It’s seriously addictive and thrilling. I must say that the ML is running the show IMO - his charisma is so exciting and acting is on point. I was disappointed by his previous drama but he is totally nailing this. Dark/grey roles seem to be his forte. I rate this a 10 for now.
At the risk of making some fans angry, I also find XK unnatural in some roles. It's like he's pretending to act.…
Maybe that’s where the challenge lies. He can’t get rid of that boyish, pretty boy tag. It may also help if they got rid of those unnatural eye contact lenses. Drama lovers are quick to criticise the looks of someone like Wallace chung but most really connect with his acting and watch dramas because he is the lead as he just has some charisma that pulls you in his characters.
Why do you watch all his dramas if you can't connect to his acting. I think you must've like his acting enough…
Either because I was in need for dramas to watch (his dramas tend to have high budget) or because I liked the FL and/or the sound of the plot. I didn't watch the dramas for him specifically. In most cases I didn't end up watching until the end. But as I said, it's not like I have a dislike for him or find his acting unbearable so I would still give it a go if I like the FL enough (in this case I love the FL).
I watched few episodes as trying to get into the mentality of c-drama viewers as was gutted that Snow Lord Eagle…
I just wrote a comment about Xu Kai as I honestly don't understand why he is not more popular. And I'm including myself here, I don't get why I can't get myself to like his acting and presence. On paper he has all the criteria to do well.
I can't put my finger on it as he is not a bad actor and he is attractive, but I have never been able to connect with the ML's acting and his dramas. And I've watched them all. Hoping for the best
I was suspecting ml also died in that accident lol nd it seems to be true obviously, getting ml through same shit…
I had the same theory as it would explain why he was so willing and kind to her. Doesn't make sense for a sharp business man to easily accept a business proposal from a woman he barely knows. He knew in the previous life that her sister and husband had something going on.
I feel that as we watch him spend more time with the FL and he gets more sleep in her presence, then we will see…
That could be a more rational reason but I personally think it's still very silly as even the most commoner Korean men I know dress very well, especially compared to men in the UK or the US. I just find it bizarre that a young start-up owner would dress like his father (nothing fancy but at least suits that fit him)
There is the overdressing style coming back even in suits for men, you can see in many dramas, and Korean dramas…
Not true, in all modern romcom dramas men are dressed sharply (usually italian stype) especially the CEOs. It may not be your style, but it is a modern style (and realistically what you'd expect a wealthy CEO to wear). You must be watching those 100 episodes daily dramas. Please name one recent modern drama (not daily) with a handsome lead as badly dressed as the ML in this drama?
