Luo Yun Xi is MADE for these type of grey, angsty, dark characters. I was disappointed in his previous "romcom" dramas as it just doesn't click. His role in AOL was stuck in my mind as it was so memorable - I think it is that duality between the softness/vulnerability he emanates (his body language, face, voice, eyes) and how he portrays darks characters. He is never over the top and doesn't need to look scary, which makes him even more scary. I rarely find such good villains/greay characters in C dramas. And the FL doesn't have the usual traits I loathe: no baby voice, childish cuteness, crazy eye contacts, nonsensical naive behaviour. If it continues like this, it may become my favourite Wuxia!

This drama is phenomenal so far. By far my favourite in 2023 (so far). Really hope it continues. Leads are great actors and beautiful, nothing cheesy or over the top, great chemistry and CGI. Great pace.

Anyone, please ping me if you ever come across a drama that is similar to this one. This is one of my favourite Korean melodramas. The new dramas are soooo boring...

Have you watched it?

I'm at episode 8 and they seriously have amazing chemistry. It is addictive. Looking at the comments I was expecting something really silly and dumb but it's not - there are some funny and fantasy elements but overall the focus is on romance (which I like).

Not sure why people are complaining so much. This is better than some of the recent high budget/over hyped dramas I've watched, The leads actually have chemistry and are good actors.

Didn't he think she tried to kill Wife #2 during the wedding and didn't she have a history of bullying, cruelty and abuse towards staff? That's a good enough reason in my books I must say.

Because absolutely everything indicates that this is a romance heavy drama: the poster, title, synopsis, genre tagged. Of course people looking for romance would be hung up on it! The same way you would do if you a product you bought was advertised in a certain way and you ended up realising after buying it that you were misled. You would be pretty annoyed. People invest a lot of time watching dramas so if nothing develops it can be annoying.

Some "fans" on here like to act like the censor police, obviously only when they disagree. Just ignore her comment, this is a free platform and you are FREE to do any comparisons and share any views as long as it's not offensive/discriminatory. No one gets to decide for others what should be a nice or not nice forum. I wilk start reporting people like this as it's becoming borderline harrassment.

I’m not here to discuss my opinion or yours on this platform. I wouldn’t lurk on here waiting like a hyena to tell someone that they shouldn’t question a ML’s acting. This is fan girl culture and I’m not part of it. If I had rated the drama 1/2 you could argue that I’m a “hater” but the irony is that I loved the ML in GMP and clearly stated that I enjoyed the first episodes. Yet you and the ML’s fan girls can’t seem to cope with anyone not praising the ML and praising the 2ML. Always the same whenever a ML is famous. You are all toxic so please stop giving me some moral lessons. I stand by my opinion and comments.
