One good example is the Little mermaid, Disney gave the story a twist hence the happy ending. You'd be shocked that most of our beloved fairy tales while growing up is dark in nature. Cinderella, Pinocchio, Sleeping beauty, Pied Piper of Hamelin, Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel and many more!!!

For kdrama, I am currently just watching this one. For cdrama, I am waiting for Yibo's- Legend of Fei, Xaio Zhan's- Oath of Love. I'll check Joy of Life. I love PSJ too, but not sure about Itaewon Class, but may give a few episodes a try and see if it's for me. I've watched all his drama except for this one. Thanks for the recommendation!!!

Is there any upcoming drama that is as good as this one that? I am currently watching cdramas lately. There's not a lot of good kdramas nowadays.

This might be a very unpopular opinion, but I really don't mind if they don't have any kissing scene for this drama.

I feel that:
-a warm hug (when MY suffered sleep paralysis),
-reassuring words ( when KT chose to stay instead of running away),
-staying beside someone in quiet times (when KT prepares breakfast for MY),
-stare silently into each other's eyes (after KT cut MY's hair and saying she's pretty),
-holding hands (running away far with MY)

I think these things holds more power than a passionate kiss with their kind of love and this kind of story, IMHO. Probably because this is not our usual normal love story, not our usual normal FL, so I kinda want the story to be a little different. Not sure tho if they can get away without the kiss, people would probably flip! ahahaha!

But of course, I am not going to complain if there's 10 minutes of passionate kiss!!! *cough* *cough*

Actually, most Hans Christian Andersen and Grimm's fairy tales were all dark in nature. They were kinda "romantised" to cater the children. lol. Actually, MY's explanation of the story was indeed the right one.
