I found this to be a great showcase of different martial arts style. However, plot was everywhere (about 4 plotlines, not well explored), and lots of unanswered questions. The ending was not very conclusive.
I believe this movie was meant to promote the Olympics in China, and so it tried to focus more on the emotional side, such as uniting as a family/community/nation, friendship, love, and never giving-up despite high hurdles.
It was fun to watch the fights, and the humor is nice. The MC is pretty funny.
