Kinda sad the romance in this one was a lost potential bc I felt a CRAZY spark between zy and zxw upon their first…
I think they didnt add much romance for a lot of reasons like censorship or to portray a "pure couple" image, cuz again it was set back in 1980-90s where skinship before marriage was considered sin.
Maybe im too habitual to toxic love or maybe the chemistry was really lacking in the 2nd half of seriesðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Please spoil me how the ending played out. I didn't like the ending of Scent of Time, it ruined the entire drama…
Everything she did in those 34-35 episodes was a dream. Corrected her mistakes, ig got her job back as well or something like that. Somehow she met zhou cheng in 2024 timeline and it looks like he also had a similar dream/ or just knows of xia xiaolan (based on the lovingly look he was giving)
On episode 11 and just wanted to ask because I can't remember, Xiaolan said that Chen Xi Liang is the second person…
I think she meant that, only XXL and CXL were the two characters, present in both timelines. Though again she didnt to 1983 timeline, she just entered the body of a girl having the same name as her.
In initial episodes, you'll see that she went to longcheng, just to find traces of her actual parents or anything which confirms her existence. But she got none, so she concluded that her parents arent in this timeline, so she isnt also from this timeline
I would really appreciate if these transmigration movies would actually continue the story after they go back…
Its true, they should add atleast 1 or 2 episodes, showing the after effects after the lead went back to thier time. But here, it was all a dream. All those characters (except zhou cheng) arent real, or dont possibly have any connection with each other irl.
Why don’t we really get to see anything romantic between the ML and FL besides their feelings? Like a kiss or…
I think because they're trying to portray a "pure" image of couples, back in the 80s-90s. Any kind of skinship before marriage is still is a big issue in lot of regions now as well, so kinda does make sense
IMO, the ending made sense. The first timeline was wrong. Everything was wrong. The FL was in a coma. The one…
Honestly the ending of "summit of our youth" wasn't bad in terms of love as they remembered each other but definitely sad cuz you had built a whole new life in the "coma", but again this was the only reasonable ending they could have. I honestly wanted a couple more episodes showing how theyre gonna figure out their actual correcf timeline, as in this the FL wasnt from the top university, her brother working in minimum wages, her family in poverty, her evil best friend getting a better job than her. I really wanted to see them figuring out stuff as the new reality.
