Seriously, in romance section there is " i want to eat your pancreas" ? How can you eat his/her pancreas…
IKR? But see, this is how I know I've been truly desensitized to how strange things in Asian movies/dramas can get: I read that title and didn't even really react. It was more of a, "Oh, that's a bit odd", more than the expected, "Um, WTF?"
I hope to see Kaichou wa maid sama and lovely complex as dramas. It would also be amazing if they were Korean…
Kaichou wa Maid-sama would be amazing!! totally loved that anime and I absolutely fell in love with the main characters...just imagine who they could cast to play the main couple...ah, I'm getting excited just thinking about it!!
I've seen Yamato Nadeshiko and Hotaru no Hikari and LOVED both...as a HUGE fan of Yamapi, 9 to 5 is also at the top of my PTW list...though it seems work and the universe are against me having any manner of free time in which to watch it (or anything else for that matter)
It seems so tame nowadays, but when I first started off in the Asian media world one of the ones I thought was really weird was Princess Jellyfish. Great movie, btw...totally recommend it if you're into absurd and ridiculous plots revolving around goofy romance...and jellyfish, of course. Then, of course, there's titles like I'm a Cyborg, but that's Okay...that movie was so strange.
OMG, this movie is so cute and funny!! Normally I don't go for Thai stuff, but I'm so glad I gave this a shot!! Casting was perfect, humor was really good, and I love the animation style of the cartoon bits!! Great movie over all. I really enjoyed it.
I love the comment about the first drama you mentioned. That sounds so funny that the screenwriters and story people just decided (maybe they were told to, I don't know, but it's funny either way to me) to intervene in the characters' nasty/unhealthy habits. It just comes across as somebody behind the scenes saying, "Oh, you're gonna smoke, are you? Well, screw you, no, you're not, because I'm in charge here, and I say you're not gonna smoke."
I've seen all of these except the last, but I plan on watching Cinderella and the Four Knights very soon because I love all things cute and fluffy (in dramaland, at least). Well, ok, technically I haven't seen Ikemen Desu Ne, but I've seen the Korean version, so I'm counting it.
well, this is certainly surprising...the original ISWAK was my third drama ever way back in 2009 and I absolutely loved it (still do), so I hope this one will be just as good...also the original ISWAK was my introduction to Jiro Wang as an actor (and oh, how appropriate of an introduction that was)
I loved The Master's Sun, mostly because I love supernatural stories and anything to do with ghosts. I thought the romance was entertaining to watch, especially because from the very beginning I fell head-over-heels for Joo Joong Won and I just enjoyed the hell out of watching him. I can see where you're coming from and I get it, but I couldn't disagree more...and that's okay.
I loved The Master's Sun...for once I was watching a romantic drama and was interested in something besides the romance (in some episodes, over and above the romance)
I love supernatural shows, especially ones that aren't necessarily horror, but they have the creep factor, and The Master's Sun definitely had that
The only time I've ever had a case of SLS was when I first watched the original Zettai Kareshi...I'm a pretty big fan of Hiro Mizushima, so watching him play the guy that doesn't get the girl in the end was actually harder than it seems it should've been.
