Si Wan was the best part of this
I loved the concept, but the movie fell short of its potential for me.Si Wan was the only amazing part of this really. I was left disappointed since much of the thriller, maniac vibes that could have been included with a deeper background story of his character simply werent there. There should have been more time spent on him, and less on his victim, since it wasn't necessary.
Also more action instead of an incredible build up for a predictable ending would have been nice.
Still a cool concept, but if you're looking for a message relating to technology and its impact on our lives, which i expected, it's not there either.

FIRST TIME watching this classic <3
I binged this in 2 days! I'd seen so many edits of Seo Joon, and True Beauty had been on my watchlist ever since I got into kdramas :)This was a good love triangle, the characters were on point, and I can see very well why it's talked about so much. I didn't give a higher review because there are many clichés, and the beginning episodes are cringe, but you quickly get into the story.
I feel like the second male lead is really what made this drama unforgettable. He brings the humor and the vibes, and his character development through the story is great. (Expect to cry.) The small amount of bromance included was amazing. And I appreciated the storyline with the loss of their friend. There's no "plain-evil" bad guys in the main characters, everyone has a backstory and their reasons, which I appreciated and it felt more real.
Would recommend, depending on your taste, but it's a good kdrama for beginners!
Still 100% team Soo Ho, he is just plain husband material, sorry guys.

There was a bit of a horror vibe at times during the first half, but that doesn't stay as strong once we get used to the story. I would describe the romance aspect as sweet with extreme loyalty and trust. A beautiful relationship even if it wasn't the kind of chemistry to give off a lot of sparks. I think some people were disappointed in this, but I personally didn't think it was a negative aspect in this drama.
The storyline wasn't perfect, especially when it comes to the part involving the Imoogi and the actor portraying him. I found him to be an odd choice for a villain, which would have been okay if he'd given off more psychotic vibes, but he ended up being a blank doll face. I still enjoyed this watch with an otherwise good cast. The mystic character of Lee Yeon with all his strengths and flaws is simply an unforgettable hero. However I thought the female lead was mediocre. Her individuality started off strong, but she lost some of her personality and at times Lee Yeon seemed to be what made her character. The story slacked off a bit after the middle, but the last two episodes made up for it. I know some weren't happy with the ending, but it was perfectly bittersweet according to me.
The highlight for me was Lee Yeon's relationship with his brother. Can't wait to find all these characters again in "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938"

The only thing that felt slightly frustrating, was how the show was made not just to lead you on the wrong track, but make it virtually impossible to put the pieces together at times. You're meant to be confused. This is not a drama to skip through or watch with half your attention, unless you want to end up quite lost. I personally really enjoy trying to figure things out, and you could most probably have watched this one with a notepad if you wanted to. I could see how the things to keep track of could have been a little overwhelming at times. I honestly expected to be let down by plot holes since the story was so intricate, but everything was neatly tied up and the ending did not disappoint.
*Note : Because of some aspects like the psychopath predator genes, and some medical content, it should be seen as something of a Sci-Fi
