Best Cdrama 2024

For me the absolute best drama this year.
Really a masterpiece. Excellent executed on every aspect.
From cast, acting, plot, storylines, character development, music, songs, costumes, pacing, editing, cinematography, effects, fight scenes, to dialogues.
There isn’t one little thing I could criticize….mhmm maybe the cast was too good looking 😗😉😅🫠😍I mean those slow pacing close-ups….❤️‍🔥
The main cast was brilliant. I laughed and cried so many times.
I also liked how you have adventure, fantasy, lovestory, friendship and also bromance. The drama is really heavy in this one, but they always gave us those funny little moments.
My heart ached at the end….but hey nothing really ends, right 🥹😉

A highlight and important part in the franchise

Honestly, I didn’t except much of this new show. But really just because of the mess, and weird way the parts were released over the years.
The overall plot is huge and often hard to follow anyways. Because let’s be real the storylines are often strange and you couldn’t really much make out of it, because you only saw certain parts. And don’t get me started on the ever changing Cast….

But here comes Adventure behind the bronze door….and finally gives us a frame for all the small pieces we watched over the years.
And of course esp. the background story to Zhang Qiling and also huge parts of the secrets around the Zhang Family, but also it grabs hold onto all the older adventures and connects it back to the present.
Which helps you a lot to grasp all the things that happened and finally see a picture in it.

And they did it nicely with flashbacks, that are very well made and narrated.

The cast was also great. Yes, the actor for WuXie seemed a bit „older“ than needed, but he grasped the concept of his part perfectly and slayed the part.
He also handled it very well to show, how his character changed and will change over the years, because of all the hardships and that he simply had to handle the stuff without Xiao-ge coming to his rescue!

Also I was absolutely enlighten to see Chen Minghao again as Wang Pangzi ❤️He portrays the part with such easiness and for me he is perfect.
But also the rest was perfect and the acting was flawless.

Same goes for locations, settings and cinematography. There’s nothing to criticize in any way.

They also put focus on small things, like WuXies scar on his neck^^ He only has it in the last episode….

Which brings me to the last episode. Safe the best for last, huh…..
Can we have a season just with stuff like that??? pretty please 🥺

It was like Fanfiction come real. It was one of the nostalgic, calm, every day life fanfics. With them a bit calmer, but happy to be together and enjoying their time. Lounging around and just letting life roll by.
And it was so beautiful to see Xiao-ge just being himself, all loose and relaxed ☺️ The actor was also so well casted. He has those nice eyes, that always looks so mysterious…..but he had no problem to portray WuXie…portaying himself 😁

What a wonderful drama

If I could I’d give even more than 10 stars.

This drama convinced in so many points.

No overdramatized plots. No weird storytelling to make it more dramatic.

This drama also has no heroes, or big love story, or school bullying, or perfect people.

It shows you a calm, nostalgic trip into the life of school kids, that try to handle their lives, their problems, their wishes and hopes.
School, first love, friendship, family, hardships……the struggles of teenagers who are taking the next step into adulthood.
And this drama does it in this absolutely fantastic way.
The FL is so normal. No quirky, complicated person. But someone who could be you and me.
It’s no ugly duck to beautiful swan, or anything like that.
The show kept it realistic. And I loved it.

I saw here some comments complaining about the open end. Sure, I’d also would have loved to see a bit more…. but on the other had, it ended perfectly. Because when you finish school, a new part of life starts. And this is simple another story to tell 😊
