My favourite j-actors are Sato Takeru and Miura Haruma since the beginning of my drama adventure :) After watching Bloody Monday I just couldn't resist their charm and charisma, and the enchantment is still working even after all these years. Haruma surprised me with his talent in 'Kinky Boots' and 'Crime & Punishment' (stage play) as well, and Takeru is simply versatile, he can play both in serious movies and romantic dramas. Of course lovely article <3
pls pls pls recommend me your favorite dramas with him!! I'm watching Love Lasts Forever and I can already tell…
Hi! Bitter Blood - Takeru plays main role, you get both humor and emotions.
Bloody Monday - drama full of action, Takeru plays supporting role but still it's worth watching because of the plot, music (and other actors, especially Miura Haruma).
If Cats Disappeared from the World - it's a movie, really calm and nostalgic, Takeru's main character.
Rurouni Kenshin - @Kez actually recommended it, but I must add that all RK movies are masterpiece and the amount of work Takeru (and of course all staff) put into it is enormous.
Kamen Rider Den-O - legendary tokusatsu, one of Takeru's first roles, very funny yet captivating and interesting; you will see how versatille Takeru is ;)
If you like movies, I recommend you also: Real (Kanzen Naru Kubinagaryu No Hi) - thriller by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, I love Takeru's acting here, very mature.
One Night (Hitoyo) - as above, Takeru's acting is breathtaking, the movie is serious but the problem touched is important; his character is much different from what we can see in his other j-dramas.
Samurai Marathon - just to enjoy beautiful landscapes of Japan and admire Takeru as samurai again ;)
If you want some more, just let me know~ It's so lovely that you started to admire Takeru, his talent and his works <3 And I feel you, I've been a fan of him for 9 years, when it was much harder to find his works online! So every episode was like a treasure for me :D
Enjoy the dramas and let us know how you like it :)
It's been a year... And I still can't believe. But I want to thank you Haruma for making my teenage years beautiful and inspiring me. You and Takeru Sato were first Japanese actors I 'met', and you're still my favourite actors. My heart still aches for you and I am so sorry that there were nobody to help you. I am so sorry that I couldn't help the person, who in some way helped me to get through my darkest hours. I just hope you find your peace now. I will always think about you as one of the most important person in my life, and I will pray for you...
