As I know she always writes tragic endings, and I check the novel summary and some chapters in Mandarin and Dong gong is indeed a very sad story.

This is truly amazing, I'm studying Mandarin and I really can feel sometimes the value of poetic and figurative language.

Based on a Fei Wo Si Cun novel... it´s gonna be heartbreaking but I need to watch it right now

I agree with you, not every story has to have a romance plot but Asian dramas are famous for attract an audience who tends to prefer a strong romance content
