I wanted to love Fangs of Fortune, but the female lead was honestly one of the weakest parts of the drama for me. She is introduced as a goddess and the protector of the wilderness, so I expected a powerful and capable character. Instead, she often came across as fragile and dependent on others.

It became frustrating watching her cough blood or collapse even when she wasn’t directly involved in battles. For someone with such an important title and responsibility, I expected her to have more strength, combat skills, or at least a greater role in protecting those around her. She didn’t need to be the strongest fighter, but some martial arts training or unique abilities would have made her character more believable.

That being said, Fangs of Fortune is still worth watching. The visual effects are stunning, the cinematography is beautiful, and the fantasy world is immersive. The plot is engaging, the characters are memorable, and the emotional moments hit hard.

My biggest issue is that the female lead’s portrayal didn’t quite match the powerful image of a goddess and guardian of the wilderness. It felt like a missed opportunity for what could have been an incredible character.
