I went into this blind, but the whole time it felt like the plot from one of those contract relationship romance mangas that were my guilty pleasure in my teens and 20s. I'm glad to see it is actually an adaptation cuz the plot checks out. There were some "twists" that caught me off guard cuz I wasn't expecting it in a jdrama, but if you think about it it's quite cliche for manga plots.

May I ask what kind of drama this is? Melodrama, romantic comedy? Comedy without romance? Etc. I’m about to…
It's mainly Drama and Medical. No romance or comedy. It's more on the serious side.

Light workplace drama. It's a must watch for Pokemon fans. I loved the Pokemon theme, especially the music. I liked how FL would compare people with certain types of Pokemon and deal with them accordingly. She would use battle strategies to tackle workplace challenges. It was very creative when it came to the naming of things and people. Overall, it was a fun and nostalgic watch. The plot was a a bit formulaic, but the drama was creative and fun.

Title Desperate Mrs. Seonju Spoiler
It was a very unbalanced show. The villains did too many evil things super early on in like the first 15 episodes…
What was with the writers and birth secrets? We had three people fall in love with their siblings. šŸ’€ What a mess.

It was a very unbalanced show. The villains did too many evil things super early on in like the first 15 episodes then held the upper hand for most of the drama. The major revelations started to happen around episode 100, which is the last quarter for the drama. They crammed everything toward the end, so things felt rushed. Usually, things start to unravel in the middle slowly, but that did not happen here. They just revealed more evil things that the villains did in the middle. The writers went crazy toward the end. I'll admit some parts were so ridiculous and wild, it was entertaining.

This drama grew on me. It was frustratingly slow paced in the beginning and main couple was boring, but I like how they changed throughout their college years. There was also decent food for thought commentary.

The drama has its flaws, but I didn't think it was that bad for a daily airing makjang. You should know the standards for these dramas are VERY low. It's essentially a soap opera. I actually really liked the main couple and their interactions with each other. I was looking for a family drama to watch and this one hit the spot for me. I think the biggest issue I have is with the deceiving English title cuz I kept waiting for main couple to get married.

Compared to other daily airing makjangs, it wasn't that bad. Believe it or not, I've seen much worse. However, the last quarter of this drama was painfully and endlessly draggy. The writers also did the audience dirty with the dumb ending. I'm about to start a riot.

actually I have a question: in China (because obviously this is a Chinesse film) can you really get a marriage…
You cannot. Both parties must be present. In this drama, they met each other for the registry and then ML moved on and forgot what she looked like. I'm sure the very idea of her repulsed him so he did not think about her at all.

An homage to china's food delivery drivers. I was not expecting this to be so thrilling. It's also pretty wholesome. People always joke about how dedicated China's delivery drivers are. This movie puts those jokes into more context.

Actually, I didn't think it was that bad. It's a standard "slap/kiss" revenge lakorn, although there is only 1 slap/kiss. The villains aren't even that evil, and the writers don't spend too much time on them. The last few episodes are messy as usual, but I find this standard for lakorns.

Interesting. I'm going to be cautiously optimistic.

"Third, the conversion rate for paid subscriptions is low, as middle-aged and elderly users tend to prefer watching for free."
Am I...getting old? šŸ˜‚ The thing about microdramas is that they are high risk when it comes to paying to unlock episodes. Usually, these plots are not worth the money. I'd rather "pay" by watching ads. On one hand, I like that they are trying to diversify the plots instead of the same repetitive formulaic plots. On the other hand, I specifically enjoy watching these dramas for the guilty pleasure trash plots.
