The live-action version completely destroyed the original. Even simple things like the characters' personalities…
Actually, there’s a lot more, but I just pointed out the main issues. If the director had stayed true to the original story and didn’t change so many things, the response wouldn’t have been this bad.. // and I’m not blaming the actors at all—they just did their jobs. It’s not their fault. They didn’t deserve to work under a director like this.

What are some major changes made in the the movie compared to novel.
The live-action version completely destroyed the original. Even simple things like the characters' personalities or their goals in ORV were changed. Or something even more basic—why are they suddenly using guns when the entire point was that they fought with swords? Where did these "normal people with firearms" come from in a post-apocalyptic world? It’s absolutely ridiculous. The director clearly doesn’t understand the true purpose of the novel at all. This isn’t just some generic doomsday story.(They claimed to have read the webtoon? Are we even talking about the same story?)

And the main character, Kim Dokja, was completely twisted. He went from being someone who was bullied in the original novel… to being the bully in ORVLA? Seriously?
*The most important part—“the Fourth Wall”—which is a core ability and deeply connected to the main plot, was completely cut out?? Are you kidding me?

This just turned into a generic apocalypse movie. I’m losing my mind...
