I'm new too but ig you'll have to watch historical or wuxia instead of xianxia for no reincarnations? Afaik wuxia has some fantasy elements like spiritual power or qi but there's no multiple lives (I think, maybe some do...). And historical are just normal cdramas based in the past so no fantasy

Sadly I saw Dai Luwa's character names in mdl so I was already spoiled on her plot twist 😭 I wish the mdl community wouldn't add those names, or at least add a spoiler feature there...
And yes, the intro is also a major spoiler... I got spoiled on Bai Shuo's father's death on episode 1 cuz of that. After that I skipped intro until the last episode. When I watched the intro in the last episode, I noticed that it pretty much summarizes the whole story 💀

Second xianxia of my life and it blew me away! The story was so emotional and covered everything properly. I don't think there were any noticeable plot holes, which is great!
I don't think I've ever watched any tv show where I had so many teary-eyed moments.
Almost every death was a meaningful sacrifice instead of just "being killed off for the sake of it", so it was sad yet understandable.
Next xianxia I'll watch will be Love In The Clouds. I hope it won't be as emotional 😭

Personally, I really enjoyed it. It had the most satisfying storyline with a perfect closure that no other historical CDrama had (at least from what I've watched). Iirc it's got a slow pace but to me it was still really satisfying. There's a lot of angst too.
I'd say try watching 1 or 2 more episodes and see if you still like it.
Also, about the people who say that it's not as good, they wouldn't know ur taste so the best way to know is by watching yourself. If the concept and genre are to your liking and if you liked the first 2 episodes, then I feel like you'd enjoy it too!

Fated Hearts was pretty good! But definitely not as good as blossom tho... I feel like blossom has a special place in my heart and is my most favorite CDrama and nothing really topped it so far!!
10/10! Absolutely loved this one! Cheng Lei playing a funny role (for the most part of this drama) was really nice to watch. The drunk scene with the crown prince was so funny 😭 I wanted there to be more funny scenes with them cuz their interactions were so funny! And that 'superhero' costume 😩 Episode 20 was my favorite. It was crazy good with Jin'an exploding with anger! I liked every character, especially Ouyang Jun and Mo Yin, my fav characters :D (Mo Yin kinda looked like Yoon Shi Yoon in some scenes 😅). But I was absolutely pissed off at the crown prince... at least he kinda redeemed himself. The vfx was also surprisingly good, I wasn't expecting it to be so smooth!

I really loved the beginning of the show cuz it had the gamey vibes, which was gone after like the first arc 😭. It was still enjoyable without it, but the tasks/quests + newbie protection was the best. Death reset was my favorite gimmick in this drama, it was so funny! I thought miaomiao will have that 'ability' for the entirety of the drama (of course, that'd have lowered the stakes), but sadly it didn't last long.
Speaking of which, is there any CDrama that has this death reset/loop thingy as the main concept? Preferably one that's funny for the most part with some serious (not stupid) backstory (kinda like happy death day, a Hollywood movie)? Tysm <3

A lot of people were complaining about Esther Yu's voice, and as a newbie to cdramas (with just 10 under my belt), I didn't find it that annoying. In fact, it was quite unique from the usual stuff I heard in other costume cdramas, so I liked it.
The sound design and vfx were soooo good! I only wish there were *more* scenes with such good vfx and sound 😭 The osts were also beautiful. They really complemented the uplifting/epic scenes.
The ending could've been made better and given more closure tho. I would recommend reading the ending interpretation in 'discussions' tab. It has the same interpretation as me and will probably give everyone some satisfaction.
I also wish the main villain had more screen time because the reveal was very dramatic in the earlier episodes then it ended quite anticlimactically.
All in all, the story was written really well and personally I didn't find any plot holes. It was also quite predictable; might be cuz of my experience with so many dramas tho 😅
I just finished watching this, my first xianxia. It was soo good! I loved the main couple, they were so cute!! At first, I almost dropped this because it had a slow beginning and I didn't know what to expect from a xianxia, but once that passed, it got so addictive!
My favorites have got to be Furong, Youlan, Shen Muyue, and Ms. Jin! The Furong's character development was so beautiful to see! And Youlan was just like us viewers 😭
And the osts!! I think I loved every single ost! They were all so epic and emotional and fit the scenes very well!
I also loved how we got 1 whole episode of peace and just wholesome cute stuff, definitely a change of pace from the wuxias I watched!
I'm thinking of watching Love Game in Eastern Fantasy next!
