Do you think Kang Cheong Ya will turn out to be a secret agent of the opposite party? I’m looking forward to more screen time from Yoo In Na. She looks like an interesting character. Also I think the whole drama might be divided into several parts. First one focuses on the love between Young Cho and Suho, next one focuses on the presidential election and so on and the last one will tie everything together. The drama put every character as ‘main role’ and looks like the writer wrote very detailed backstory for all the main roles so they will put more focus on them as the story goes.
I have never seen a drama that receive this much attention and I’m srsly tired of seeing ppl posting links of conspiracy theories coming from unverified source so I went to watch the 2 episodes and did some research myself.
Regarding the 300k signature for the petition, I just did a little digging and guess what? I came across many tweets and facebook posts from other kpop accounts/sites (not even Koreans ones but Philippines, Thai, Viet etc.. but they have a good number of followers) calling for members to sign for it (I have screenshots to prove it but won’t post publicly as it will cause fan wars but you can search for hashtags relating to this drama to see for yourself) and quoting false information about the whole situation. They even put up instructions on how to vote multiple times using Facebook and Twitter and how to create Naver accounts if you’ don’t understand Korean. Since you can sign as many times as you want just by creating fake accounts and you don’t need to verify yourself as a Korean in order to sign, many toxic fandoms have united and did this. I’M NOT SAYING THAT ALL 300k SIGNATURE ARE FROM CRAZY KPOP FANS but I really doubt if all of them are from Korean people who have seen the drama and are genuinely upset about the content. I have never seen people putting so much effort in bring a drama down like this. This is just plain disgusting and toxic.
I don’t know if you guys have seen Hellbound or not but this situation reminds me of the series. For now, watch the drama yourself, do your own research to have your own judgement. Refrain from following the majority and the media blindly because what you see might not be the truth. If you are so irritated with the drama, just block it and wait for your government to interfere. I will continue to watch it because for now it is too soon to say the drama is distorting history.
