I just finished it. I like the ending. Hoping for a season 2. Really entices me to want to watch and read the other versions of this story. Coming from a romance buff, for a drama that doesn't have any romance line at all, the drama really is pretty good and tells a good story. I like it.
Oh...the withdrawal symptoms are hitting hard. I wish they would do extra specials. There were a few extra chapters from the book...some of them can be scripted and aired. That would make my withdrawal so much less painful. Waiting on completed subs to rewatch the whole drama again. Xiao Xhan <3 Wang Yi Bo
Oh my gosh I'm in serious withdrawal after finishing the last episode...This is now my new favorite drama, beating…
Totally agree with you. I just finished the last episode. Totally think they should have given the CP a last shot together at the very end but I wouldn't say it's a bad ending at all either. Not the best but acceptable. My interpretation of the ending is that LZ came back for him and they're going to have a happily ever after or...as he plays and hears LZ calling his name, it means he finally knows where he wants to go and knows where his heart is at since he told LZ previously that he doesn't have a specific destination before they parted ways. I just think as long as WWX isn't alone in the world anymore, then everything is a-ok. Plus, considering the interactions between them in the last few episodes, the intimacy and cute level between them already exceeded the so called "bromance" between the CP. I agree with you. I'm happily content with how it turned out (from a person that read the book first).
Do you remember which chapter in the novel? I forgot which chapter it was....thanks
I quickly looked it up...from the English translation site, chapter 42 is where the XueYang incident ends and they head back to the city and hotel. The chapters coming after this is where the drunk headband scene is and WWX learning about the importance of the headband is around here Chapter 45.
Coming from the book... ep 40 they totally skipped the headband scene. They had the WWX paperman tug at the headband afterwards but not the drunk headband scene...that was the whole reason behind why he tugged at the headband and started liking it. Wasn't it? As the show is nearing the end, they are starting to rearrange and change up a lot of the original content. If I didn't read the book first, I definitely think I would enjoy the show more. It's been great up to this point. I really hope they don't screw up the ending. I know it's gonna be different because of the censoring but please...
I just completed the latest episode ~38~ and had to say Xing Chen and Song Lan relationship is like Lanzhan and…
In the book, technically, no he was not killed by XueYang. I really do feel bad for XiaoXingChen. I agree, he was such a kind person. How can XueYang use him and lie to him after he took care of him so well and was so nice to him? XiaoXingChen doesn't deserve this evil and severe of a revenge from XueYang.
I loved the cute simple romantic gestures that the main couple had, but I really didn't understand their problems in their relationship. The ending is a little confusing. Is it just me? The last scenes in the last episode seemed patchy to me.
I liked it. I agree with the bittersweet comment. This movie was all round a bittersweet movie. I wish there was a sequel. The actors are some prominent individuals, not newbies in the Asian acting community so the acting in this movie was nice, better than most Chinese movies with BL slice in them.
Honestly, this isn't the best version out all the versions, movies and dramas I've seen of it but I did like the ending scenes of the movie. That was creative. This version is basically adapting current asian teen culture to the original story.
