yeah but that's to be expected. every single k-drama in that time period is like "ree japanese bad they are nothing…
You can’t tell the victim to forgive when the perpetrator hasn’t apologized. Regardless of what you think don’t forget the real people were affected and are still living with the pain - whether those that were directly impacted (ie. comfort women) or the families of people who went missing/killed, and other horrific acts.

Lol it may be a black and white portrayal especially with the exaggerations of Japan being nothing without Korea, however history shows the atrocities the Japanese committed in the past. Don’t let the anime and cutesy hello kitty vibe fool you. They did a good job at rebranding but it doesn’t the sheer evil the government committed in the past.
It was quite interesting, more slow burn arthouse/film noir style like another user said. I think she killed Yun Ho because she doesn’t want anyone hurt/killed because of her creations (app, etc). If you remember in the beginning she asked the gangster guy whether the gambling app will lead to people dying and if so then she won’t do it. So as much as she loved this guy, she couldn’t overlook his acts because it goes against her basic morals.
Why she killed Him, I Think I Missed Some Important Portion

I think the reason Seo Min Yeong is always wearing black (like mourning clothes) and is so against Soonyang is because they did something to Jin Do Jun
