I really like the cases so far. They're interesting and easy to follow due to good explanation despite the complex terms they use. Moreover, these cases are plausible in terms of 'why, who, and how'. This is just my opinion but, if I have to compare, some cases in another C-drama [Melody of Golden Age] seems too 'grand' but not 'attractive' enough...

Before in these dramas the minor extra characters will be on-screen just for their presence, but dramas nowadays give them a chance to be part of a scene (ugh, I dunno how to explain this 😭). For e.g., when Qin Wan broke down in tears near the well, the personnel who were digging through the mud stopped midway to listen to her, (& sympathised with her words). It wasn't like that in most dramas before..
