Yes i preferred her especially in the beginning however I realised towards the end that they may not fit well after all. GP is too engrossed with the political machinations of Dafeng (always calm but you know she’s aware & analysing all the actions around her) while XQA doesn’t have the patience for that & would still sometimes act impulsively so they may just clash. But yeah, it’s just my hopeful wish in the drama.

Agree and honestly it was very refreshing. I know not a lot can appreciate it since we have different preferences but for me I enjoyed every minute of this series from start to end. In fact, I’m on the rewatch phase now…lol.

Even a king or other royalty gets to be dethroned, massacred & beheaded in real history. But it’s not just by one person effort. The ML was able to drag the duke coz the guards turned away as deep down they sided with justice then all the Guardians also arrived. Yes, the ML is foolish but he’s ready to face the consequences & perhaps why his father timely intervene. We just didn’t see the consequences.

I disagree. He was true to his character right at the end. ML character has always been described as young hot-blooded fool but with a strong sense of justice. He’s even been advised by his superior to take things slow (w/c he actually did at first & thus resulted to a death). He doesn’t think he’s invincible but at that moment he just wants justice to be served and didn’t care what happens to him.
